Abstract: Apparatus and methods for filtering syringe fluid contents through a syringe-embedded filter. The filter may be sealed within a housing lodged distal to unfiltered fluid contents, proximal a syringe distal outlet, with a housing exterior sealed fluid-tight against a syringe inner wall. Before filtering, the housing may block access of unfiltered fluid to the filter. The unfiltered fluid may be sealed between a syringe plunger, the inner wall and the housing. Distally directed urging of the unfiltered fluid may unblock the housing to a flow of unfiltered fluid to the filter. Fluid-tight sealing within the housing may limit fluid passage to the distal outlet to a path through the filter. The unfiltered fluid may be urged through the unblocked housing and the filter. Filtered fluid, relatively free of particulate matter sized greater than a filter average pore size, may flow to the distal outlet for delivery to a target site.

Abstract: A device configured to guide creation of an incision in a sclera of an eye including an elongate handle and a footplate having a plurality of struts defining a central opening extending between an upper surface and a lower surface of the footplate. A first strut of the plurality of struts has a proximal-facing blade guide surface that is straight and extends between two lateral struts of the plurality of struts. A second strut of the plurality of struts has a proximal-facing limbal guide surface that is curved. The blade guide surface is separated a distance from the limbal guide surface to identify a target location for creating an incision relative to a limbus of the eye. The blade guide surface has a length between the two lateral struts that limits a length of the incision that can be created using a cutting blade inserted through the central opening.

Abstract: Devices that can provide a compressive force and a vibratory force to treat an area are described. In some configurations, the devices can include a substrate that can provide the compressive force and multiple independently controllable actuators that can provide the vibratory force to treat swelling, lymphedema or other conditions.

Abstract: A personalized ostomy appliance, including a baseplate, leveraging three-dimensional (“3D”) scanning, computer-aided design modeling, and 3D printing technology, to empower patients to improve quality of life and decrease ostomy complications. In embodiments, the process uses 3D scanning technology to create a raw peristomal mesh. In embodiments, this mesh is filtered using a smoothing and splicing algorithm with patient-specified preference variables. In embodiments, this personalized filtered mesh is then used in a subtractive manufacturing process, including applying a laser cutter or blade press, to alter an ostomy baseplate. The personalized filtered mesh can also used to 3D print a personalized ostomy template that improves fit of the baseplate using a retraction method. This process can be applied to wound care with negative pressure vacuum therapy and fistula management systems wherein a vacuum or pouch baseplate is generated for improved fit and healing.

Abstract: This disclosure describes the methods, devices, and systems of treating diseased tissue with integrated nanosecond pulse irreversible electroporation. Methods and systems as disclosed provide MRI compatible shielded electrodes and electrode leads to prevent emanating radiofrequency noise and improve image quality, disconnecting the electrode from the cable linkage to the pulse generator reduce electromagnetic interference and image artifacts, placing electrodes strategically within a guide cannula to minimize distortion from heterogeneities or maximize ablation within the tissue, utilizing conductive fluids, innate or external, such as cerebral spinal fluid or grounding pads to provide a pathway for current return, and for timing of the electrical waveforms with inherent brain electrical activity.
