  • Patent number: 10750934
Abstract: This invention may be directed to an endoscopic device. The endoscopic device comprising an elongate member having a distal end, and a cap positioned at the distal end. The cap may have a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end may define at least one recess that does not extend through the cap to the distal end of the cap. The endoscopic device may further include at least one illumination device disposed in the at least one recess.

  • Publication number: 20180256200
Abstract: A system for endoscopic ultrasound guided drainage includes an access sheath including an elongated tube extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including an access lumen extending therethrough from the proximal end to the distal end and a flexible tip coupled to the distal end of the elongated tube, the flexible tip biased to a curved configuration. The system also includes a sharp slidably received within the access lumen, the sharp extending longitudinally from a proximal end to distal end and including a channel extending therethrough, the channel configured to receive a fluid therethrough. In addition, the system includes a dilating sheath extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a dilating lumen extending therethrough, the dilating lumen sized and shaped to slidably receive the access sheath. The dilating lumen is sized and shaped to slidably receive the access sheath.

  • Patent number: 9803399
Abstract: A security seal includes a molded one piece body and a cover disc. The body has a cylindrical chamber for receiving the disc. A locking recess is formed in the body in communication with the chamber and defined in part by a locking shoulder. The cover is secured to the body in the chamber to enclose the locking recess. The disc is separated from the body when enclosing the chamber. A rotatable arm is attached to an extension member extending from the body via a hinge. The free end of the arm has an arrow shaped locking element attached that engages the recess locking shoulder when inserted into the recess. The locking element has a resilient tang member that is compressed by the locking shoulder and which tang member returns to its acquiescent state when fully inserted into the recess thereby locking the tang member in the recess.

  • Patent number: 9277855
Abstract: A medical device, configured for insertion into a body, may include an elongate member extending from a proximal end to a distal end, where the distal end may be configured to be positioned inside the body. The medical device may also include an imaging device positioned at the distal end. The medical device may further include a plurality of light sources positioned at the distal end, wherein a characteristic of light delivered through a first light source may be controlled independent of the characteristic of light delivered through a second light source.

  • Publication number: 20140223701
Abstract: Various attachment devices are disclosed. The devices are designed to permit a second medical device to be easily and quickly attached to and detached from a first medical device. The attachment devices, once attached to both the first medical device and the second medical device, may allow the physician to grasp only a single device while the other device remains securely attached to the one being grasped.

  • Patent number: 7472933
Abstract: A seal of the type includes a housing and a J- or U-shaped hasp, the housing having first and second openings to receive the legs of the hasp. The first opening communicating with a third opening of the housing to form a channel for a first leg of the hasp. A locking mechanism is provided within the housing which is biased to resist withdrawal of the first leg of the hasp through the first opening. The hasp being lockable within the housing such that it can only be removed by cutting of the first leg of the hasp. The legs of the hasp are substantially rigid and are connected together by a resilient hinge such that in a first, relaxed position the legs adopt a position in which they are not parallel, the legs being moveable to a second, parallel position against the resilient force of the hinge for insertion into the housing.

  • Publication number: 20070140786
Abstract: A connection joint (20) is described that is formed by inserting a plastic connector (10) into the end of a silicone tube (14). The connector includes a plurality of barbs (12). A reinforcing agent (16) is placed between each of the barbs (12) of the connector (10). An adhesive (18) is injected between the tube (14), the reinforcing agents (16) and the connector (10). The adhesive (18) is then cured at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time in order to solidify the connection joint (20).
