  • Publication number: 20170176961
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory, machine-readable media that facilitates home automation control based on individualized audio differentiation of carbon monoxide detectors. Audio characteristics may be determined based on first sensor data. Attributes may be defined based on the audio characteristics. Second audio characteristics may be determined based on the second sensor data. Second attributes may be defined based on the second audio characteristics. Third sensor data may be analyzed to identify a first alarm or a second alarm based on a volume and/or a directionality determined based on the third sensor data. Consequent to identifying the first alarm or the second alarm, a home automation rule may be determined. The home automation rule may include an operational setting of a home automation device. The home automation device may be instructed based on the determined home automation rule via a home automation network.

  • Patent number: 9602203
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for identifying entities and communicating using lightweight and wearable free space optical systems. A variety of optical and electronic elements are used to enable communications and identification in an environment where identification and communication must be accomplished to address a variety of constraints. Such constraints can include frequency congested environments or environments in which communication should be done using non radio frequency (RF) systems. Embodiments include converting data into optical signals that are transmitted using a laser which are received by optical receivers and converted into audio output.

  • Publication number: 20170041669
Abstract: The various examples described herein generally provide systems and methods for generating a hybrid electronic programming guide (EPG) that includes both broadcast content and other types of content, such as over-the-top (OTT) content. In examples, broadcast content may be content provided by a satellite, terrestrial, or cable television provider. Other types of content, e.g., the OTT content, may be content that is delivered over an open network, such as the Internet. In examples, a secure processor may be employed to determine if a subscriber is authorized to access the OTT content based on subscription information received via a broadcast transmission.

  • Patent number: 9165031
Abstract: Retrieving stored data using a web service is provided. An access request from a user account may be received at a web service via a proxy. The web service may decode information received in the access request. The web service may then authorize the user account utilizing the decoded information. The web service may then determine a request type based on the access request. The web service may then send a response based on the determined request type, which is based on data retrieved from a data store.

  • Publication number: 20130036087
Abstract: An integrated system for facilitating visibility and management of projects in a Content Management Application (CMA) is provided. A Project Application Server PAS is enabled to coordinate and associate with a CMA and to identify projects, project data, and project task lists associated with the projects processed by the CMA. The PAS may import the projects, the associated project data, and project task lists, into a central database managed by the PAS. The PAS database may also provide a centralized framework for displaying projects and enabling a user to view the projects in order to see activity and content related to a particular project in the centralized PAS framework. The PAS and the CMA may be continuously synchronized in order to maintain current versions of project content as projects are modified by users in the CMA and/or the PAS framework.

  • Publication number: 20060112866
Abstract: A stitch regulator (50) for use with a sewing machine (34) transported by a moveable platform (26) includes a housing (52) configured to be coupled to one of the sewing machine (34) and the moveable platform (26). An X-axis rate sensor (92) and a Y-axis rate sensor (96) determine movement of the sewing machine (34) on the moveable platform (26). A microcontroller (118) is contained in the housing (52) and is in communication with the sensors (92, 96). The microcontroller (118) generates a motor control signal (126) in response to the movement of the sewing machine (34) for input into a motor control input port (88) of the sewing machine (34).
