  • Patent number: 9247658
Abstract: A latchable enclosure in the form of a box having a base, four sidewalls, and an open top face which may be closed by a cover plate or lid over its open top for covering components stored in the enclosure. The enclosure may be stiffened by providing a removable or permanent stiffening ring around the inside surface of the open top. This stiffening ring may also provide locations for attachment of components or mounting tracks. The enclosure may also include vertical mounting stiffeners that act to further increase the stiffness of the enclosure while also acting as mounting tracks for direct or indirect (through separate mounting brackets) attachment of components. The vertical mounting stiffeners may include a plurality of holes for said attachment.

  • Publication number: 20120118150
Abstract: A device for reducing airborne contaminants is provided. The device includes an intake enclosure having an intake manifold at an open end thereof, a UV light emitter disposed within the intake enclosure, an exhaust enclosure having an exhaust manifold at an open end thereof, an electrostatic filter disposed within the exhaust enclosure, a second filter disposed within the exhaust enclosure, the second filter including at least one of activated carbon and HEPA filter material, a base forming a base conduit connecting the intake enclosure and the exhaust enclosure and providing fluidic communication therebetween, and a fan disposed in the base conduit, the fan being adapted to generate an airflow passing the UV light emitter in the intake enclosure and through the electrostatic and second filters in the exhaust enclosure. A method for reducing airborne contaminants is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070295722
Abstract: A sanitary waste bin and disposal system for the convenient and hygienic disposal of waste products. A waste bin comprises a container for storing the waste material, the container having a first opening; a cover for the first opening, the cover having a second opening; a lid comprising top and bottom surfaces defining a receptacle, the lid being attached to the cover such that the lid is pivotable within the second opening between an open position where the receptacle is positioned to receive waste material, and a closed position where the receptacle is positioned to deposit waste material into the container; a lever for engaging the lid to operate between the closed position and the open position; and a handle for lifting the bin when disposing of the waste material. Also disclosed is a sanitary waste system comprising the waste bin and a bracket for mounting the bin to a wall, and a system comprising the waste bin and a tray for carrying at least two of the bins in a predetermined position.

  • Publication number: 20070036696
Abstract: An air purifier illustrates the invention. The air purifier includes a housing having walls defining a lower chamber and an upper chamber, and ultraviolet C lamp in the lower chamber. Air flows through an air inlet through a wall into the lower chamber. A baffle is positioned between the air inlet and the lamp blocking direct passage of radiation from the lamp to the air inlet. A dividing wall in the housing separates the upper chamber from the lower chamber, and an opening in the dividing wall allows air to pass from the lower chamber to the upper chamber. Air exits through an air outlet from the upper chamber, with the dividing wall being positioned to block direct passage of radiation from the lamp to the outlet. A fan in the upper chamber draws air in the inlet, through the lower chamber, and the opening in the wall, and directs the air to the outlet.
