  • Publication number: 20250145538
Abstract: A system and method for amending out of specification ash to a suitable amended addition material to a concrete mixture includes analyzing a unit quantity of out of specification ash to determine concentrations of each of calcium oxide, sulfur trioxide, and unburnt carbon. The out of specification ash is sieved to determine fineness. Based upon measured concentrations and determined fineness, a mixture is designed to add materials in design-determined quantities of each of quicklime, kaolin, masonry silica blend, manufactured sand and in specification fly ash. By adding each of the quicklime, kaolin, masonry silica blend, manufactured sand and in specification fly ash in each of the design-determined quantities, creating an amalgamated blend of added materials to form an amended addition material. The amended addition material is substituted for a selected quantity of Portland cement in the concrete mixture.

  • Patent number: 11066881
Abstract: A method and composition for stabilizing drill cuttings commences by providing precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC). The PCC is dried to a moisture level of about 10% or less. Drying by heat not to exceed 400° F. is preferred to prevent changes in the PCC. The dried PCC is blended with kiln dust to compose a generally uniform admixture. In the admixture, the kiln dust is not to exceed 40%. The admixture is introduced to the drill cuttings to initiate a nucleation reaction within the commixture of drill cuttings and the admixture.
