Publication number: 20250393140Abstract: A protective device, system, and method are disclosed. The protective device is designed to enhance the security of an object or place by safeguarding the access control. The protective device may generally include a cover configured to surround the access control. The cover may include a frame with a cover or the cover may be a magnetic cover. The protective device may include a sensor disposed on an inside portion of the cover. The sensor may be configured to send an alert to the user when the access control is exposed, when the cover is tampered with, and when the cover is moving from the closed position to the open position.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2025Publication date: December 25, 2025Inventor: Christopher Carpenter

Publication number: 20250389476Abstract: A refrigerator storage system includes a storage bin, rails, a protrusion, and a container. The rails define a space below the storage bin. The protrusion extends into the space. The container engages the rails to facilitate movement of the container into and out of the space. The protrusion is operable to engage the container to force the container downward. The rails are sloped downward to bias the container into the space.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2025Publication date: December 25, 2025Inventors: Brent Burgess, Christopher Carpenter, Christopher Hartnett, Luis Yahir Macias, Douglas Pohl, Steven Schatz, Shekhar Shetty

Patent number: 12429277Abstract: A refrigerator bin system includes a receptacle, at least one rail, and a secondary container. The receptacle has a top side defining a plurality of orifices of varying sizes configured to receive primary containers of varying sizes. The at least one rail is disposed below receptacle. The secondary container is configured to engage the at least one rail for securing and removing the secondary container onto and from the receptacle.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2023Date of Patent: September 30, 2025Assignee: Whirlpool CorporationInventors: Brent Burgess, Christopher Carpenter, Christopher Hartnett, Luis Yahir Macias, Douglas Pohl, Steven Schatz, Shekhar Shetty

Patent number: 8596666Abstract: A ground engaging machine includes a first and a second frame unit, and an articulation hitch coupling together the first and second frame units. The articulation hitch includes a pin, a first and a second bearing positioned about the pin, and abutting a first and a second axial side of an annular protrusion of a hitch plate in one of the first and second frame units. A clamping mechanism of the articulation hitch clamps the first and second bearings between first and second clamping components, such that they are preloaded against the annular protrusion.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2012Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: Matthew T. Hansen, Brian C. Howson, Christopher Carpenter, David R. Shields

Publication number: 20060265916Abstract: A wear assembly includes an adapter with a nose, a wear member with a socket to receive the nose, and a lock to secure the wear member to the adapter. The nose and socket include complementary rails and grooves that vertically diverge as they extend from the front of the nose. The lock can have a tapered construction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2006Publication date: November 30, 2006Applicant: ESCO CorporationInventors: Christopher Carpenter, Robert Fleck, Terry Briscoe, Daniel Danks, Venkat Gaurav, Larren Jones
-
Publication number: 20060117613Abstract: A wear assembly provided with a tapered opening and a complementary tapered lock wherein the lock can be pried into and from the opening to thereby eliminate the need for hammering. The lock is formed with a body and a latch that is movable between a hold position where the latch is engageable with a stop in the opening to releasably retain the lock in the opening and a release position where the latch disengages the stop.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2006Publication date: June 8, 2006Applicant: ESCO CorporationInventors: Larren Jones, Christopher Carpenter, David Graf

Patent number: 6275358Abstract: A conductor trace array includes an electrically insulative support substrate and a plurality of pairs of electrical signal conductor traces and a plurality of pairs of passive electrical conductor traces. All of the traces are formed along substantially parallel paths in a single layer on the substrate. Each pair of the electrical signal conductor traces is arranged on the support substrate such that they are positioned in a space defined between each pair of passive electrical conductor traces. As a result, each pair of signal conductor traces has a passive electrical conductor trace positioned immediately adjacent thereto. The passive conductor traces generally follow a geometry of the signal conductor traces and thereby form a capacitive coupling relationship therebetween. This capacitive coupling relationship increases the characteristic impedance of the signal conductor traces.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1999Date of Patent: August 14, 2001Assignee: Maxtor CorporationInventors: Arun Balakrishnan, Christopher Carpenter

Patent number: 5794878Abstract: A conventional webbing-locking inertia reel is modified by integration of a device for the prevention of slap-back lock of the inertia reel upon excessively rapid retraction of the webbing worn by a seat occupant as a safety belt and/or harness. The device also slows the retraction of the webbing enough to prevent a hard collision of the webbing stop at the inertia reel. This is accomplished by interacting the reel shaft with a specially designed damping disk so that both the shaft and the damping disk rotate counter-clockwise when an external force pulls the webbing from its rotatable spool, while simultaneously the shaft also interacts with a conventional housed return spring, causing it to wind and build up a rewinding force, which, when the external force is removed or ceases, causes rotation of the shaft, spool, and damping disk clockwise and rewinds the webbing on the spool.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 1997Date of Patent: August 18, 1998Assignee: Am-Safe, Inc.Inventors: Christopher Carpenter, Lindsay P. Zollinger, Michael J. Freeman, James C. Warrick, Willard F. Hagan
