  • Publication number: 20220017193
Abstract: A submersible system is provided having a submersible launch vessel that sends instructions from a mission controller to deploy one or more deployable systems for one or more underwater operations. The submersible launch vessel is submerged within a waterbody. A submersible power supply powers the submersible launch vessel and the one or more deployable systems. One or more communication devices is in communication with the mission controller, and the mission controller is located in one of a remote or a local location relative to the submersible launch vessel. The one or more deployable systems, via the one or more communication devices coupled to the submersible launch vessel, are remote controlled by the mission controller to execute the one or more underwater operations. • Patent number: 11164014
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and devices for detecting traffic lane violations. In one embodiment, a method for detecting a potential traffic violation is disclosed comprising bounding a vehicle detected from one or more video frames of a video in a vehicle bounding box. The vehicle can be detected and bounded using a first convolutional neural network. The method can also comprise bounding, using the one or more processors of the edge device, a plurality of lanes of a roadway detected from the one or more video frames in a plurality of polygons. The plurality of lanes can be detected and bounded using multiple heads of a multi-headed second convolutional neural network. The method can further comprise detecting a potential traffic violation based in part on an overlap of at least part of the vehicle bounding box and at least part of one of the polygons.

  • Patent number: 11003919
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for detecting traffic violations using mobile detection devices. Videos captured by the mobile detection devices can be processed on the mobile detection devices to extract data and information concerning a potential traffic violation involving a vehicle and a restricted road area. The mobile detection devices can transmit such data and information to a server configured to make a final determination as to whether a traffic violation has occurred by comparing the data and information received from at least two mobile detection devices. The server can also construct semantic annotated maps using data and information received from the mobile detection devices. Updated versions of the semantic annotated maps can be transmitted back to the mobile detection devices to aid in traffic violation detection.

  • Patent number: 10666606
Abstract: A customer may request a service endpoint for a service in their virtual network on a provider network. In response, a service endpoint is generated in the customer's virtual network, a local IP address in the IP address range of the customer's virtual network is assigned to the service endpoint, and a DNS name is assigned to the service endpoint. Resources on the customer's virtual network resolve the DNS name of the service endpoint to obtain the local IP address of the service endpoint and send service requests for the service to the local IP address of the service endpoint. The service endpoint adds routing information to the service requests and sends the service requests over the network substrate to be routed to the service.

  • Patent number: 10409649
Abstract: Computing resource service providers allow customers to execute computer systems on hardware provided by the computing resource service provider. The hardware may be distributed between various geographic locations connected by a network. A load balancer may be provided to distribute traffic between the computer systems. Furthermore, computing resource service provider may cause computing resources to be allocated or deallocated to the load balancer based at least in part on various attributes of the computer systems the load balancer is responsible for distributing traffic to. The various attributes may include a capacity of the computer systems.

  • Patent number: 10055262
Abstract: A load balancer obtains respective workload metrics of various worker nodes of a distributed system. In response to determining that a work request is to be assigned, the load balancer generates a workload variation estimate associated with the worker nodes. Using the workload variation estimate, the load balancer determines a size of a candidate pool of worker nodes for the work request. The load balancer assigns the work request to a selected worker node from the candidate pool.

  • Publication number: 20150360165
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating a compressed, biologically generated, feed gas stream comprising methane, carbon dioxide, water vapour and impurities including volatile non-methane organic compounds. The method comprises purifying the compressed, biologically generated, feed stream by adsorption to remove the volatile non-methane organic compounds and the water vapour and to form a purified feed stream. The purified feed stream is separated by membranes to produce a first product gas stream enriched in methane and an intermediate gas stream enriched in carbon dioxide. Part of the first product gas stream is withdrawn and mixed with at least part of the intermediate gas stream to form a second product gas stream comprising methane and carbon dioxide.

  • Publication number: 20050245808
Abstract: A method for performing shoulder arthroplasty or hemiarthroplasty is provided. The method includes generating navigational reference information relating to position and orientation of a body part forming at least a portion of the shoulder joint. The reference information may be stored in a computer. Navigational references are attached to the body part and an object. Information is received regarding the position and orientation of the object with respect to the body part and the object is navigated according to this information. The body part may be modified using the object and the modification may be displayed on a monitor associated with the computer. The navigational references may be used to track a shoulder arthroplasty trial component. Information is received regarding the position and orientation of the trial component with respect to the body part. This information is used to navigate the trial component to the body part.

  • Publication number: 20050143832
Abstract: A knee prosthesis is provided that allows for increased flexion. The knee prosthesis includes (a) a femoral component adapted to fit on a distal end of the femur which includes a lateral condylar structure and a medial condylar structure and (b) an intermediate structure configured to cooperate with a femoral component of a knee prosthesis. The intermediate structure includes at least one surface for contacting the femoral component and a transition of a sagittal curvature of the at least one contact surface from a concave surface into a convex surface at the contact interface of the femoral component and the intermediate structure when the knee is flexed at approximately 120° to 140°. The knee prosthesis minimizes impingement on the femoral posterior cortex in deep flexion, increases the dislocation safety factor and allows for easier reengagement of the articular surface should the femoral component externally rotate off of the tibial plateau.

  • Publication number: 20020010621
Abstract: Systems for incentive enabling and demographic generation in order to allow content owners, distribution entities, advertisers and others to learn more about consumers and to incentivize comsumption of certain media products, infrastructure devices, or consumer products, among others. Preferably, systems according to the present invention include an integrating functionality which receives, stores and processes certain user demographic information with user content activity information, such as, for instance, streaming a particular song by a particular artist for a particular number of milliseconds, in order to award points or other incentives and to map various characteristics of content being consumed against user demographics. Functionality at the client level monitors content being streamed and reports information about that content, together with user demographic information, to the integrating functionality, or when the user is not logged in stores it locally for later reporting.
