Abstract: Apparatus for determining a measurement error of a displacement volumetric meter, the meter having bellows which in use expand and contract to transmit a fluid. The apparatus including a transducer operable to detect movement of the bellows and to generate a signal which varies in accordance with the movement of the bellows; and a computing device in communication with the transducer so as to receive the signal therefrom, the computing device being operable to determine a flow rate of fluid through the meter based on the signal, and to determine a measurement error of the meter based on the determined flow rate. A corresponding method, meter monitoring device and meter measurement error determining device are also disclosed.

Abstract: A heat recovery apparatus comprising a vessel having: a first liquid flow path such that a first liquid can pass through the vessel between a first liquid inlet and a first liquid outlet; a second liquid flow path in thermal contact with the first liquid flow path; and a heater for occasionally heating at least the liquid in the second liquid flow path on an occasional basis. This allows Legionella growth to be inhibited.

Abstract: A heating system comprises a heater and a local heat exchange system in which the local heat exchange system comprises: a primary heat exchanger; a heat store having a secondary heat exchanger; a cold water inlet; and a hot water outlet, in which the local heat exchange system is remotely located from the heater, the primary heat exchanger and the heat store are arranged so as to be heated by the heater, and the primary and secondary heat exchangers are in fluid-flow communication with the cold water inlet and the hot water outlet.
