  • Publication number: 20220163822
Abstract: A system performs a method for fitting glasses to a person. The system includes an imaging device and a processor. The imaging device obtains an image of the person while wearing an unfitted frame. The processor determines a dimension of the person from the image and determines a dimension for a fitted frame that provides a selected lens-pupil distance for the lens based on the dimension of the person and the specifications of the lens. The unfitted glasses frame is adjusted to obtain the dimensions of the fitted frame.

  • Publication number: 20210381273
Abstract: A tool for facilitating no-contact activities includes a first manipulation member having a curvilinear edge defining a first surface and an opposing second surface. The curvilinear edge is provided with a plurality of bump surfaces. A second manipulation member extends outwardly of the first manipulation member, and a third manipulation member extends from the second manipulation member. The third manipulation member includes at least one hook element. One of the first manipulation member and the second manipulation member includes an accessory mount that is configured to detachably receives a no-contact accessory.

  • Publication number: 20150159561
Abstract: A method of controlling purge flow in a gas turbomachine system includes detecting a fault condition in the gas turbomachine system, initiating a shutdown of the gas turbomachine system, introducing a purge flow into a gas turbine portion of the gas turbomachine system, categorizing the fault condition as one of a category one fault and a category two fault, and validating the purge flow if the fault condition is a category one fault and invalidating the purge flow if the fault condition is a category two fault.

  • Patent number: 8777566
Abstract: A casing includes an inner shell and an outer shell that surrounds the inner shell and comprises a plurality of inflection points. An annular flange is between the inner shell and the outer shell, and a plurality of joints attach the inner shell to the annular flange. A connector is between the annular flange and the outer shell at each of the plurality of inflection points. A method for assembling a casing includes joining a plurality of curved sections to one another to generally define an arcuate inner shell and surrounding the arcuate inner shell with an outer shell. The method further includes attaching the arcuate inner shell to an annular flange at first attachment points and connecting the annular flange to the outer shell at second attachment points spaced approximately equidistantly from the first attachment points.

  • Patent number: 8210801
Abstract: A method operates a gas turbine that includes a compressor section, a turbine section and an extraction cooling system. The method includes monitoring an operation of the gas turbine, directing a cooling air flow through the extraction cooling system from the compressor section to the turbine section in response to normal operation of the gas turbine, and directing a warming air flow through the extraction cooling system to the compressor section and the turbine section in response to shutdown of the gas turbine.
