  • Patent number: 12357100
Abstract: Mattress assemblies including phase change materials and processes for dissipating retained in the mattress assemblies generally include a spacer layer in proximity to one or more foam layers containing a phase change material; and a pump in fluid communication with the spacer layer to provide a positive or negative air flow into the spacer layer to reduce retained heat in the phase change materials subsequent to a sleep cycle. The process includes operating the pump between sleep cycles to reduce the retained heat.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 2021
Date of Patent: July 15, 2025
    Assignee: DREAMWELL, LTD.
    Inventor: Christopher Chunglo
  • Patent number: 12004654
Abstract: Compressible mattress assemblies for bed in a box applications generally include a first foam layer and a second foam layer, wherein the first foam layer has a thickness less than the second foam layer and has a property and/or a foam material that is different from the second foam layer. In other embodiments, the compressible mattress assemblies consist of a pocketed microcoil array intermediate the first and second polymeric foam layers.

  • Patent number: 10548410
Abstract: Firmness control for a self-adjusting, non-powered smart response technology mattress includes a body support device; one or more layers overlaying the body support device and a side rail assembly circumscribing a perimeter of the body support device; and the firmness control. The body support device includes a plurality of fluid support cells, wherein each fluid support cell includes an envelope and a reforming element disposed within the envelope; and a non-powered manifold system including a manifold conduit fluidly coupled to at least two of the fluid support cells, and intake and exhaust valves fluidly coupled to the manifold conduit configured to dynamically open and close in response to a weight load. The firmness control includes a pressure relief valve fluidly connected to the manifold conduit via a conduit and configured to selectively permit a controlled amount of fluid flow out from the fluid support cells. Also disclosed are processes for adjusting firmness.
