  • Publication number: 20140173957
Abstract: The present invention provides a label clip for use with a bin divider, having a first major face and a second label bearing face. Typically, the first major face and the second label bearing face are angled from one another by an angle of approximately 0-60° and preferably by about 20°. The faces are connected to a divider of a bin system by an extension leg and a retaining leg and preferably an insertion leg. One or more reinforcing sections may link the extension leg and label face. The clip may also optionally include one or more gripping sections protruding from the extension leg toward the major face.

  • Patent number: 8746013
Abstract: The invention relates to a burner module having a body that is either sintered or photo-cured, and to methods of making such a burner module. The body (110) of the burner (100) is formed from one of a sintered metal, a sintered alloy, a laminated glass ceramic, and a photo-cured polymer. 1 Sintering and photo-curing may be accomplished by irradiating the body with localized heating using a focused energy source, such as a laser. The burner module is resistant to thermal shock and provides a distributed, even stream of a precursor or precursors to be reacted in a flame of the burner module to form soot, which is to deposited on a receptor surface, and may be used for vapor and liquid precursor delivery systems. A soot deposition system having an array of such burner modules and methods of making a fused silica article by depositing soot using the burner modules are also described.

  • Publication number: 20140052613
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for facilitating a merchant transaction comprises providing a list of one or more merchants that are in geographic proximity to a geolocation of a payer, and receiving a request from the payer to conduct a transaction with a merchant among the one or more merchants. The request can be received by a computer system programmed to facilitate the transaction. The transaction can then be processed with the aid of the computer system. A tip selection, which can include a tip amount, can be applied to the transaction. In some cases the tip selection is received from the payer as a selectable option. In other cases, the tip selection is automatically applied to the transaction without involvement from the payer during or upon the termination of the transaction.

  • Patent number: 8531550
Abstract: Automatic exposure adjusting device considers the image on a pixel-by-pixel basis. Each pixel is characterized according to its most significant bits. After the pixels are characterized, the number of pixels in any particular group is counted. That counting is compared with thresholds which set whether the image is over exposed, under exposed, and can optionally also determine if the image is seriously over exposed or seriously under exposed. Adjustment of the exposure is carried out to bring the image to a more desired state.

  • Publication number: 20120159334
Abstract: An operating system provides an extensible share action to broker content sharing between applications executing on a computing platform such as a personal computer, tablet computer, or smartphone. The share action enables a consistent user experience for content sharing to be implemented across all applications and eliminates users having to switch from the current application they are using to some other functionality in order to share content. Applications can participate with the operating system share action as source applications and/or target applications. Source applications may describe what content is shareable given the current state of their application when the user chooses to invoke the share action. Target applications can be configured to receive the shared content from the source application according to content type, and will expose a companion view of their application to the user that is specifically tailored to facilitate sharing.
