  • Patent number: 11958974
Abstract: The present invention relates to an asphalt product. The asphalt product includes an asphalt binder and a bio-oil blend comprising a mixture of a non-hydrogenated bio-oil and a partially hydrogenated bio-oil, where the bio-oil blend is mixed with the asphalt binder to form an asphalt product having a shear stiffness of 0.20 kPa to 11,000 kPa at a temperature ranging from 25° C. to 85° C. and/or a viscosity of 0.15 Pa·s to 1.50 Pa·s at a temperature ranging from 120° C. to 165° C. The present invention further relates to methods of producing an asphalt product and methods of applying an asphalt product to a surface.

  • Patent number: 11945953
Abstract: The present invention relates to an asphalt product that comprises an asphalt component and a plurality of pellets comprising a mixture of a ground tire rubber and an elastomeric polymer, where the density difference between the asphalt component and the plurality of pellets is less than 10%. The present invention further relates to a pellet comprising a ground tire rubber (“GTR”) and an elastomeric polymer mixed with the GTR, where the GTR has a density of less than 1.12 g/cm3. Also disclosed are methods of producing improved asphalt and paving a surface.

  • Patent number: 11597528
Abstract: An aircraft includes a battery pack, an internal support structure to support the battery pack in the aircraft, a first bracket rigidly coupling the battery pack to the support structure, and a second bracket rotationally coupling the battery pack to the support structure. The first and second brackets may be located on opposite sides of the battery pack. The internal support structure may be located in a wing of the aircraft and the first and second brackets may be aligned in a fore-aft direction of the aircraft. The internal support structure may be located in a nacelle of the aircraft and the first and second brackets may be aligned along a transverse direction of the aircraft. The second bracket may include two hangers to support a mass of the battery pack in tension.

  • Publication number: 20210391627
Abstract: An aircraft includes a battery pack mounted inside the aircraft, a vent coupled between the battery pack and a surface of the aircraft to at least partly define a vent path between the battery pack and the surface of the aircraft, and a burst membrane located in the vent path. The vent may be coupled to a rear upper portion of a wing or to an outboard side of a nacelle. The aircraft may also include a flexible coupling between the vent and the surface of the aircraft. The aircraft may also include a fairing over a vent outlet to provide a smooth surface for the vent outlet. The battery pack may include battery modules and an enclosure, the battery modules and the enclosure defining paths along which discharge from a thermal event can flow towards the vent.

  • Publication number: 20140279545
Abstract: Systems, computer programs and methods are provided to protect consumer credit card data and/or other private information by tying such information to a particular hardware identification number, such as without limitation an individual Media Access Control (MAC) Address of a user's computer and/or mobile device. Credit card or other data is registered and associated with a hardware identification number for computer(s) or mobile device(s) of the registrant. Then, when a transaction involving the credit card occurs, the hardware identification number for the device initiating the transaction is compared with the registered hardware identification number for the credit card. If the numbers do not match, the transaction is not allowed to complete, preventing those without the hardware identification from using the registered credit card, debit card, or other registered item.
