  • Publication number: 20220003416
Abstract: Disclosed is an ash or debris management system for an appliance such as a charcoal grill. The system includes a sifter tray with openings that can be exposed by manually or automatically oscillating the sifter tray back and forth. The sifter tray can include ridges with angled faces that push the debris toward the sifter openings to better facilitate movement of the debris. In this manner, debris such as ash can be removed from the appliance with ease.

  • Patent number: 11218552
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to virtualizing a network function in an ad-hoc group. The ad-hoc group comprises a plurality of mobile terminals (302, 304) that are configured for device-to-device communication, e.g., Proximity-Based Services (ProSe). The Pro Se-enabled mobile terminals (302, 304) subscribe to a Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) service with an NFV management server (322). The NFV management server (322) discovers the ad-hoc group that is suitable for NFV and informs an NFV application server (324) of the ad-hoc group. The NFV application server (324) then downloads data and configuration parameters to the ad-hoc group to offload a network function to the ad-hoc group for execution.

  • Patent number: 10890931
Abstract: A method is disclosed for implementing a scheme to configure thermal management control for a memory device resident on a memory module for a computing platform. A method is also disclosed for implementing the configured thermal management control. In a run-time environment for a computing platform a temperature is obtained from a thermal sensor monitoring the memory module. The memory module is in a given memory module with thermal sensor configuration that includes the memory device. An approximation of a temperature for the memory device is made based on thermal information associated with the given configuration of the memory module and the obtained temperature. The configured thermal management control for the memory device is implemented based on the approximated temperature. Other implementations and examples are also described in this disclosure.

  • Patent number: 10417921
Abstract: According to an example, coordinates in a coordinate space of a display device at which a line is to be displayed may be determined. A first set of intensity profile discs corresponding to the determined coordinates and a second set of intensity profile discs having inverted intensity profiles from the first set of intensity profile discs may be identified. The identified second set of intensity profile discs may be displayed at the determined coordinates on the display device and the identified first set of intensity profile discs may be displayed over the displayed second set of intensity profile discs on the display device.

  • Publication number: 20160165265
Abstract: In particular embodiments a social networking system may receive from an external system outside the social-networking system, a request comprising a user identifier associated with a user of the social-networking system, query a social graph for stories generated by one or more connections of the user on the social-networking system, and transmit the stories to the external system. Similarly the social networking system may receive, from an external system outside of the social networking system, a request comprising a user identifier associated with a user of the social networking system, a content identifier, and a action performed by the user on the content identifier, generate a story for the received request, and publish the story to one or more connections of the user on the social networking system.

  • Patent number: 9356420
Abstract: A laser rod assembly includes a first and second laser rod embedded in a cladding material. The assembly has a first end and a second end. The laser rods generate laser light at ?laser (?laser light) when pumped by pump power at ?pump. A reflecting outer surface at ?pump is on or over a majority of an outer surface of the cladding material. Fold optic(s) on the second end provides optical coupling between the laser rods. An optical resonator includes a highly reflecting (HR) mirror at ?laser over an end of the first laser rod on the first end and an output coupler over an end of the second laser rod also on the first end.

  • Publication number: 20140280629
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating a composer prompt to induce a user to post a message at a social network system is disclosed. The method starts with retrieving information about the user, the user information being stored in a profile at the social networking system. It assesses the user information and temporal information to determine content and format of the composer prompt. Then the method generates a new composer prompt based at least partially on an assessment of the information and display the new composer prompt to the user.
