  • Publication number: 20240132425
Abstract: Catalytic compositions and processes for depolymerizing polyolefin-based feed into useful petrochemical products are described. The compositions are a composite of a zeolite catalyst component and a co-catalyst comprising an activated clay component and/or a solid base component. These catalyst systems, along with heat, are used to both increase the depolymerization reaction rate of the feed streams and suppress poisoning effects of impurities that may be present in the polyolefin-based feed. This results in a shorter residence time in the depolymerization unit and more efficient process.

  • Publication number: 20240135388
Abstract: A computer executed process for mimicking human dialog, referred to herein as a “humanoid” or “humanoid system,” can be configured to provide automated customer support. The humanoid can identify a support issue for a customer, as well as a customer support campaign corresponding to the support issue. The humanoid can identify at least one machine learning model associated with the customer support campaign and can communicate with the customer using the at least one machine learning model. The humanoid can execute a support action to resolve the support issue.

  • Publication number: 20240076467
Abstract: Catalytic compositions for depolymerizing polyolefin-based waste material into useful petrochemical products and methods of use are described. The catalytic compositions are mixed metal oxides demonstrating equal or higher conversion than noncatalytic pyrolysis. These mixed metal oxide catalysts and a polyolefin-based material are heated in the presence of oxygen to form a product comprising one or more olefin monomers.

  • Patent number: 11920551
Abstract: A unique point absorber type wave energy conversion device is disclosed that includes a Power Take Off (PTO) which uses a torsion spring to return a vertical shaft to its original position after being rotated by a rope or cord that pulls a reel via a guide system. This spring return allows the PTO and housing to stay stationary under the wave energy while a buoy at the surface provides an oscillating linear movement. The oscillating rotary motion caused by the interaction of the buoy and spring is converted into a one directional motion via a one-way clutch and is transmitted to generators using a gearbox that increases rotational speed.

  • Publication number: 20240069960
Abstract: Techniques are provided for orchestrating runs of a task or workflow. The techniques include: (a) receiving, by an orchestration engine running on the computing device, a request from a run of a task or workflow to transition states from an initial state to a proposed target state; (b) assessing, by the orchestration engine with reference to a set of orchestration rules, whether the run is permitted to transition from the initial state to the proposed target state; and (c) in response to the orchestration engine determining that the run is permitted to transition states, writing the state change to a database and returning permission to the run to transition states.

  • Patent number: 11868829
Abstract: Techniques are provided for remote orchestration of workflows performed by processing circuitry of a cloud infrastructure. A method includes: (a) executing a workflow administration module (WAM) on the processing circuitry of the cloud infrastructure; (b) accessing, by the WAM, a workflow database stored within the cloud infrastructure to determine that a workflow is scheduled for execution; (c) issuing a command from the WAM to remote customer infrastructure (RCI) external to the cloud infrastructure, the command instructing the RCI to execute the workflow on the RCI, the command including information about the location of the workflow; (d) receiving metadata by the WAM from the RCI regarding execution of the workflow on the RCI; and (e) storing the received metadata in the workflow database in connection with the workflow. A corresponding method is provided for use at the RCI. Corresponding computer program products, apparatuses, and systems are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11481263
Abstract: A system for the remote execution of one or more arbitrarily defined workflows comprises a workflow engine operative to perform one or more functions defined in a given workflow on customer computing infrastructure and a workflow administrator with access to a workflow database that maintains metadata defining the state of the given workflow, the workflow administrator remote from the workflow engine and not running on the customer computing infrastructure. A workflow administrator agent polls the workflow administrator to identify when the given workflow is scheduled for execution and, when scheduled, issues a command to the workflow engine to retrieve the given workflow from a workflow registry and perform the one or more functions defined in the given workflow on the customer computing infrastructure. The workflow administrator agent transmits state information regarding execution of the given workflow to the workflow administrator for storage in the workflow database.

  • Patent number: 7865326
Abstract: In some embodiments, an input measurement module may be configured to insert into a slot of a carrier using alignment guide slots and corresponding guide projections. Clips on the input measurement module or the carrier may engage corresponding depressions to secure the input measurement module to the carrier. The clips may be spring-loaded. The input measurement module may include a first outer casing and a second outer casing coupled together around a circuit board that interfaces with a backplane of the carrier through a backplane connector.

  • Patent number: 5073923
Abstract: A key telephone system, having ports for connection to telephone lines of a telephone exchange and ports for connection of terminal apparatus including key telephone sets, is provided with the ability to distinguish if an intended call or feature access involves more than the key telephone system. If so, a signalling protocol of the telephone exchange is emulated on behalf of the terminal apparatus and transmitted via one of the telephone lines whereby the progress of the call or feature access continues, as if a user of the terminal apparatus had initiated the signalling protocol of the telephone exchange.
