  • Publication number: 20230383393
Abstract: A component with a ceramic coating system wherein the component includes a substrate, especially a nickel- or cobalt-based superalloy, a metallic bond coat, especially based on a NiCoCrAl composition, a ceramic coating system with an lower ceramic coating and an upper ceramic coating. An intermediate coating is located between lower coating and upper coating, providing a rougher surface which has a maximum thickness of 25% of the thickness of the lower coating or of the upper coating. The bonding capacity of a ceramic coating system is improved by adapting the coating parameters such as size of the powder and changing of the parameters of the spraying system.

  • Publication number: 20190255659
Abstract: By using a water-based liquid mixture containing amino acids, the cavities of a hollow component can be filled very easily and very quickly, while nevertheless providing the internal structure with adequate protection. In addition, the filling material can be removed again very easily after the laser drilling.

  • Publication number: 20170298519
Abstract: By the use of highly pure zirconium oxide material for the outermost thermal barrier coating of a two-layer thermal barrier coating system, improved and durable layer systems for high-temperature temperature use is provided. A ceramic thermal barrier layer system, comprising: a substrate, a metallic adhesion-promoting layer on the substrate, an inner ceramic layer on the adhesion-promoting layer, and an outer ceramic layer on the inner ceramic layer, wherein the inner ceramic layer and the outer ceramic layer together represent the ceramic thermal barrier layer on the adhesion-promoting layer, wherein the outer ceramic layer is at least 20% purer, than the inner ceramic layer in terms of its chemical composition.

  • Publication number: 20160325382
Abstract: A method is provided for protecting a component during laser working or working that produces melt phases, particularly during laser drilling, of the component with a cavity, in which a through-hole is introduced through a wall of the cavity of the component, in which the cavity is filled at least in an area of a region to be worked, including introducing a mixture of a water-based liquid mixture containing amino acid into the cavity as a filling.

  • Publication number: 20140093669
Abstract: A process is provided for protecting a component during a laser machining of the component with a hollow space. The process includes filling the hollow space with Teflon powder at least in the region of the region to be machined. The Teflon powder is introduced into the hollow space with a gelling agent.
