Abstract: A blanket or curtain of flexible fire retardant material is collapsed and retained within a retaining housing construction positioned adjacent to a curtain wall assembly for firestop sealing thereover. The housing includes a safing angle member secured to the curtain wall assembly and a cover which releases responsive to sensing fire conditions to allow the firestopping blanket to deploy downwardly to extend between curtain wall framing members and be positioned extending across a curtain wall panel for fire protection thereover. Such curtain wall panels are commonly made of glass which tends to fracture during a hot fire. The cover will release the blanket responsive to controlled failure of fusible links which secure the cover to the safing angle member. After deployment the blanket will deflect fire and heat away from the curtain wall panel to prevent the spread of fire to adjacent floors.

Abstract: A packet switch includes an error management module in addition to various components that facilitate routing of data packets through the packet switch. The components generate error codes indicating errors occurring in the packet switch and provide the error codes to the error management module. The error management module select error codes generated by the components and generates an error log based on the selected error codes. Each component is inhibited from providing the same error code to the error management module more than once until the component receives an acknowledgement for that error code from the error management module. A user can access the error log during operation of the packet switch to monitor performance of the packet switch.

Abstract: An apparatus is provides which includes a frame configured to be supported by a customer-accessible lower shelf, the lower shelf being adapted to support a plurality of items, and an upper shelf supported by the frame at an angle thereto, the upper shelf also being adapted to support a plurality of items and having an opening at a lower end thereof, so that an item supported by the upper shelf drops onto the lower shelf, through the opening, after an item is removed from the lower shelf.
