  • Patent number: 10332168
Abstract: A system or method is provided to allow customers or users to bid for positions in a line. In particular, the system may determine the positions of various users in line and may set up a line bidding interface for the line. The line bidding interface may present users with various information of the line and various bidding options. The system may allow a user to post the user's line position for others to bid on. Further, the system may allow a user to post a monetary offer for another user to leave or switch line position. The system also may allow one or more users to bid for another user to leave the front of the line. For example, one or more users may crowd source a monetary offer for a user who is in the front of the line to leave.

  • Publication number: 20190172289
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing access to secure-access facilities based on pairing of the secure-access facilities with a user device such as a wearable device. A pairable secure-access facility may be a public storage facility or device such as a locker that includes communications circuitry for pairing with the user device. Once paired with the user device, the locker may operate a locking mechanism to lock the locker when the user device is away from the locker and to unlock the locker when the user device is in the vicinity of the locker. The locker may include a beacon for detecting and pairing with the user devices. Pairing the user device and the locker may include entering a locker identifier into the user device to ensure that the intended user device is paired with the intended locker.

  • Publication number: 20190166056
Abstract: Systems and methods of site traffic control are disclosed. In some example embodiments, a request for an online service to perform an operation is received from a user on a client device, and at least one overload condition for the online service is detected, or otherwise determined, with the overload condition(s) corresponding to a request time of the request. A standard of restriction is selected from a plurality of standards of restriction based on the overload condition(s), and the selected standard of restriction is used as a basis for either denying or permitting the user access to the operation of the online service.

  • Publication number: 20190158728
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for modifying image parameters of an image to be captured by an image capturing device based on input from a wearable computing device. In some embodiments, the system receives image data, determines an image parameter based on the image data, and receives data from a wearable computing device positioned proximate to a subject of the image. The system modifies the image parameter based on the data received from the wearable computing device and captures the image data using the modified image parameter.

  • Patent number: 10299236
Abstract: A method of configuring alarm settings of a group of mobile devices is disclosed. The method may include receiving a proposed alarm from a mobile device of the group of mobile devices, the proposed alarm associated with settings, including a proposed time. The method may further include receiving votes from the group of mobile devices, each of the votes associated with an approval or a disapproval of the settings associated with the alarm. The method may further include receiving a number of approval votes associated with a threshold portion of the group of mobile devices, the approval votes indicating approval of configuring each of the mobile devices of the group of mobile devices to perform an alarm action at an alarm time associated with the proposed time.

  • Publication number: 20190094961
Abstract: Systems and methods for device and content management include determining a user is viewing virtual reality content from a user device, and receiving, through a network from the user device, body information associated with the user while the user is viewing the virtual reality content. A user device management configuration associated with the body information is determined. A user device management action is retrieved using the user device management configuration. A notification associated with the user device management action that causes the user device to perform the user device management action and modify the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is sent through the network to the user device.

  • Publication number: 20190017834
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for sequencing locations and events and determining routing and itineraries for the sequence. In some embodiments the system may receive a starting location, a first location, and a second location in a default order. The system may determine a sequence from the starting location for the first location and the second location. The system may generate a route for the sequence with the route having transportation directions between the starting location, the second location, and the first location indicative of the sequence. The system may display the route in a graphical user interface of an application.

  • Patent number: 10162620
Abstract: A system and/or method may be provided to install applications based on location. In particular, a location of a user device may be detected. Based on the location of the user device, one or more applications may be selected to be installed automatically on the user device. Further, when the user device departs from the location, the application may automatically be uninstalled. Thus, applications may be installed and/or uninstalled on the user device based on the location of the user device. The automatically installed application may provide functionality or information associated with the location that triggered the installation. For example, a merchant's store may be associated with the merchant's application which may be installed automatically on devices of customers who enter the merchant's store.

  • Patent number: 10088676
Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing traffic safety through augmented reality and shared data are disclosed. An example method includes, identifying a second transportation vehicle that at least partially blocks a first view of a first user associated with a first transportation vehicle; and obtaining second view data from the second transportation vehicle. The second view data is descriptive of a second view of a second user associated with the second transportation vehicle, and the second view includes an additional view that was blocked in the first view by the second transportation vehicle. In some implementations, the method includes presenting the second view on a first display associated with the first transportation vehicle. In other implementations, for example where the first transportation vehicle is a driver-less vehicle, the method includes providing an electronic signal identifying the second view to the first transportation vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20180239931
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are disclosed for automatically adjusting a display to obscure application data. In an example, a computer-implemented method may include collecting eye data from a user, receiving the eye data collected from the user, analyzing the eye data, determining that eyesight of the user is on a display based on the eye data, providing data on the display to the user when the eyesight of the user is determined to be on the display, determining that the eyesight of the user is off the display, obscuring the data on the display in response to determining that the eyesight of the user is off the display, removing the obscuring applied to the data on the display when the eyesight of the user returns to the display.

  • Publication number: 20180234731
Abstract: A method of television advertisement tracking is described. The method may include identifying an electronic advertisement that is playing on a television. The method may also include storing an identifier of the advertisement in an electronic data storage. The method may include identifying, by the processing device, an activity of a user on a client device. The method may also include determining, by the processing device, an effectiveness score of the advertisement with respect to the user based on the activity of the user on the client device. The method may include storing the effectiveness score of the advertisement in association with the identifier of the advertisement.

Abstract: Systems and methods for device and content management include determining a user is viewing virtual reality content from a user device. Body information associated with the user while the user is viewing the virtual reality content is received through a network from the user device. User engagement information associated with the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is determined using the body information. A first content management action based on the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is generated using the user engagement information. A first notification associated with the first content management action that causes a first change to the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is sent through the network to the user device.

  • Publication number: 20180157316
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for authenticating an account via a hands-free gesture, such as a tap, pattern of taps, or other physical gesture not requiring a user to hold a computing device. A user can initiate a transaction to purchase an item by interacting with a first computing device (e.g., electronic kiosk, point-of-sale terminal, automated checkout device, etc.). The first computing device can receive a request from the user to purchase the item. In response, the first computing device can broadcast an authentication request. The user can perform the hands-free gesture for detection by a second computing device (e.g., the user's mobile device). The second computing device can transmit information associated with the hands-free gesture in response to the authentication request. The first computing device can authenticate the user based on the information associated with the hands-free gesture.
