  • Publication number: 20200397378
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for optically sensing position within body lumens within a patient's body, e.g., in blood-filled vessels and chambers. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a tubular member including a proximal end, a distal end sized for introduction into a patient's body, and one or more lumens extending between the proximal and distal ends; a distal tip on the distal end for contacting tissue; and one or more optical elements on the distal tip configured to transmit illumination beyond the distal tip and capture optical signals from tissue or fluids adjacent the distal tip. The distal tip may be positioned within a body lumen, and the optical elements may be used to detect the proximity of the distal tip relative to tissue adjacent the body lumen.

  • Patent number: 10632247
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for imaging cardiac tissue using fluorescent dyes delivered into tissue. A distal end of an imaging device may be introduced into a chamber of the heart, and fluorescent dye may be delivered into one or more body lumens in the heart such that the dye is absorbed by cardiac tissue adjacent the chamber. Images of the cardiac tissue adjacent the chamber may be acquired using the imaging device, the dye enhancing identifying cardiac electrical activity within the cardiac tissue. Optionally, based on the identified cardiac electrical activity, tissue within the heart may be ablated or otherwise treated.

  • Publication number: 20200001070
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for placing pacing leads or other devices within a patient's heart. In an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a tubular member comprising a flexible distal portion defining a curvilinear shape in a relaxed state including a curved first region defining a first radius lying within a first plane, a substantially straight second region extending from the first curved region defining a first length, and a curved third region extending from the second region defining a second radius smaller than the first radius.

  • Patent number: 9861032
Abstract: Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a tool bar comprising a structure having a plurality of sections arranged in geometric forms. The geometric forms may change shape to keep a tool that is attached to the structure in a desired position while the tool bar is being used on uneven terrain, such as on a hillside or while the tool bar is rotated or pivoted at an angle with respect to the direction of travel. Changing the shape of the geometric forms can also result in rotating the tool attached to the structure with respect to the tool bar.

  • Patent number: 9409459
Abstract: Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide leveling for a vehicle, such as an overland vehicle. A leveling signal is received by a leveling arrangement coupled to the vehicle at a wheel position. The leveling arrangement rotates a rocker plate with respect to the body of the vehicle, changing a location of a wheel coupled to the rocker plate with respect to the body of the vehicle. In an aspect, the leveling signal is based on a first vehicle sensor signal representing a lateral tilt of the vehicle and/or a second vehicle sensor signal representing a pitch angle of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8967631
Abstract: Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide an air assist suspension, for use in a wide range of vehicles and implements having multiple axles (such as agricultural equipment). The air assist suspension uses one or more air bags (e.g., fluid-filled bladders, containers, pistons, and the like) to assist in adjusting the loading of the implement with respect to the multiple axles. In one embodiment, the air assist suspension also uses one or more rocker assemblies, coupled to the air bag(s) and coupled to the axles.

  • Publication number: 20130264082
Abstract: Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a jointed folding arm assembly. Two or more solid links may be pivotally coupled together to form a jointed folding arm. The jointed arm may be pivotally coupled at one end to a load device. The other end of the jointed arm may be pivotally coupled to a tongue arranged to pull the load device. Further, one or more actuators or cylinders may be coupled to the tongue, the jointed arm, and/or the load device and arranged to fold the load device.

  • Publication number: 20020049907
Abstract: There is provided a method for a requester to gain access to desired location, for example an Internet portal or database, that requires the permission of an authority. A host receives a request for access from the requester and transmits the request to the authority. Pursuant to the authority's response, the host either provides or denies the requester with access. In one embodiment, the requester is a child and the authority is a parent or legal guardian. In another embodiment, access is granted by providing the requester with a password, URL or other access to the Internet portal. In another embodiment, the requester is an employee of a company, the desired location is a database of employees of several companies, and the access is granted by all companies providing information to the employee database.
