  • Patent number: 11227507
Abstract: Data regarding a movement being performed by a subject during an activity is obtained from wearable apparel, having one or more sensors, worn by the subject. Based at least in part on the data obtained by the wearable apparel, it is automatically detected that the movement has a potential of causing injury to the subject. Based on automatically detecting that the motion has the potential of causing injury to the subject, application of one or more physical stimuli is initiated to cause the subject to adjust the movement to prevent the injury.

    Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION
Inventors: Glenn Crawford, Adam Bishop, Christopher Florence, Rocky McMahan
  • Patent number: 11036216
Abstract: Described herein are systems, devices, methods, computer-readable media, techniques, and methodologies for object retrieval and delivery using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) such as a drone. The UAV receives user input from a user such as audial input and processes the input to determine a user command. The user command can be a command to retrieve an object that is out of reach of the user. The UAV scans the environment capturing image data using on-board sensors. The image data can be fed to a neural network trained in object detection to identify the object in the environment. Once identified, the UAV can then navigate to the object, retrieve the object, and deliver the object to a target individual or location such as a location adjacent to the user.

  • Publication number: 20200084623
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for controlling an operation of a mobile device based on user identification are provided. Aspects include receiving, by the mobile device, a request to perform a requested action and obtaining, in response to the request, an identification of one or more individuals that are looking at a display screen of the mobile device. Aspects also include obtaining a security profile for the mobile device and performing the requested action based on a determination that the security profile indicates that the one or more individuals are authorized to view a result of the requested action.
