A small cell is in a location, the small cell is configured to control a communication link between the wireless device and the network. A register includes a database of restrictions on the function of the wireless device at the location. The system is configured to query whether the wireless device is within the location, and to apply the restrictions to the wireless device when the wireless device is in the location.

The instructions are executable by the processor to: detect the presence of a firearm on the premises; and upon detecting a firearm, sending a notification that a firearm has been detected on the premises.
