Patent number: 11359835Abstract: Systems for controlling louver positions are described herein. Such systems may include: a louver frame; a louver coupled to the louver frame via a rotation member and adapted to rotate at a louver side around an axis of rotation at the rotation member. In one embodiment, the louver includes a spring member engagement feature. The system also includes a spring member coupled to the louver frame and adapted to engage with the spring member engagement feature of the louver and apply a force to the louver when a forward airflow is applied to the louver in a forward airflow direction.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2021Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: Arista Networks, Inc.Inventors: Duong Cu Lu, Robert Morris Wilcox, Richard Neville Hibbs, Ian Christopher Fry

Publication number: 20190188063Abstract: A request to deploy a computer program is received. The computer program to be deployed on a computer system connected to a distributed peer-to-peer network. Computer systems in the network are referred to as nodes of a blockchain. The nodes are associated with corresponding databases storing copies of a distributed database record associated with the blockchain. Transactions executed over copies of the distributed database record are automatically replicated across the blockchain nodes. The deploy request includes metadata associated with the computer program. The metadata includes a property that associates a function of the computer program with a network protocol method. A mapping between the function of the program and the method is generated. When a request including the method is received, an invoke request including the function of the program and an endpoint, where the computer program is accessible, is automatically generated. The invoke request is sent to the endpoint.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2017Publication date: June 20, 2019Inventors: Brian McKellar, Manuel Heibel, Christopher Fries

Publication number: 20070218878Abstract: The invention is an audio mixer (100) for prioritizing audio channels. The mixer can include a plurality of audio channels (110)—in which each channel can be capable of carrying an audio signal—and can include at least one output (114). The number of outputs can be less than the number of channels and the stage (116) immediately following the output is an output stage. Each channel can include an audio shaper (122) that modifies the audio signals of the channels and can include a priority database (126). The channels can be ranked in the priority database based on their priority in relation to one another. Control logic (128) of a highest ranked channel (N) can signal the audio shapers to modify the audio signals on at least some of the lower ranked channels (1, 2) in accordance with a predetermined priority response.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2006Publication date: September 20, 2007Inventors: Charbel Khawand, Christopher Fries, Martin Karanja, Jianping Miller, Chin Wong

Patent number: 4935870Abstract: Apparatus for downloading videotex information via a host computer includes a group of local terminals installed at a variety of locations. The terminals receive and store macro programs from the host computer. The local terminal then activates the macro programs via a set of function input devices, which generate macro program activating signals.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1988Date of Patent: June 19, 1990Assignee: Keycom Electronic PublishingInventors: J. Patent number: 4649533Abstract: The information retrieval method and apparatus includes a group of geographically widely-distributed terminals, which accept a remotely located host computer. Each terminal includes a memory for storing a plurality of items of call origination information. A call original circuit transmits individual ones of the items of call origination information via a communication path to the switching system for causing it to extend the path to the host computer. Logic circuits transfer a first one of the items of call origination information indicative of the geographically shortest communication path, to the call origination circuit in an attempt to extend a communication path, of the geographically shortest length, to the host computer. If the attempt proves unsuccessful, the logic circuit sends automatically a second one of the items of call origination information, indicative of the next shortest communication path length.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1983Date of Patent: March 10, 1987Assignee: Keycom Electronic PublishingInventors: William Chorley, Robert Redding, Christopher Fries
