Patent number: 11582104Abstract: A configuration resource automatically synchronizes configuration settings associated with one or more communication resources disposed in a respective subscriber domain. For example, a communication resource such as communication device operated by the subscriber initiates a change to configuration settings associated with a first communication resource disposed in a subscriber domain. The first communication resource notifies the auto-configuration resource of the new configuration settings applied to the first communication resource. The auto-configuration resource identifies one or more other communication resources disposed in the subscriber domain.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2020Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: Time Warner Cable Enterprises LLCInventors: Christopher G. Turner, Andrew C. Danforth

Publication number: 20210275845Abstract: A fire-suppression system includes an aviation vehicle and a fluid transport and delivery system. The fluid transport and delivery system is coupled to a vehicle frame of the aviation vehicle and is located within a cabin of the vehicle frame. The fluid transport and delivery system includes a tank having an exit aperture formed in a bottom wall of the tank, a plug aligned with the exit aperture of the tank, and a plug actuator configured to move the plug along an axis from an open position, in which the fluid stored in the tank passes around the plug and through the exit aperture, to a closed position, in which fluid is blocked from exiting through the exit aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2021Publication date: September 9, 2021Inventors: Christopher G. TURNER, Chirag DUDHAT, Eric S. FOY

Patent number: 11044119Abstract: A router device in a subscriber domain receives communications from a communication device. The communications are destined for delivery over a first network operated by a corresponding service provider to a destination in a second network such as the Internet. To convey communications, the router device maps a network address obtained from the first communications to a corresponding marker assigned to the communication device. The router device then tags the communications from the communication device with the corresponding marker and forwards the tagged communications (with the marker) over the first network to the second network. The first network operated by the service provider conveys the tagged communications in accordance with a data delivery policy as indicated by the corresponding marker in the forwarded communications.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2018Date of Patent: June 22, 2021Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventors: Christopher G. Turner, Andrew Ip

Patent number: 10880196Abstract: At a customer premises equipment (CPE) device in a broadband network, an invocation of a speed test by an auto-configuration server (ACS) is obtained. The invocation includes an activity detection threshold and an activity detection period. Responsive to the invocation, average interface utilization for the customer premises equipment (CPE) device is determined over the activity detection period. Responsive to the determining indicating that the average interface utilization for the customer premises equipment (CPE) device over the activity detection period does not exceed the activity detection threshold, the customer premises equipment (CPE) device cooperates with a speed test server to execute a speed test on the customer premises equipment (CPE) device using a speed test tool.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2018Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS OPERATING, LLCInventors: Christopher Studwell Wolf, Shlomo Ovadia, Christopher G. Patent number: 9742634Abstract: A topology map engine obtains, from a dynamic host control protocol relay device, a relayed request, of a client, for a dynamic host control protocol lease. The relayed request has at least one given IP address of the dynamic host control protocol relay device inserted therein. A search is made in a database for that IP address. If not found, dynamic host control protocol relay device information is obtained. This information includes: an identifier of the dynamic host control protocol relay device; and at least one network interface of the dynamic host control protocol relay device and any internet protocol addresses assigned to same. This information is obtained at the topology map engine and stored in the database.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2016Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Assignee: TIME WARNER CABLE ENTERPRISES LLCInventors: Andrew C. Danforth, Christopher G. Turner, Clayton O'Neill
