  • Publication number: 20150291482
Abstract: An adjuvant additive includes a first active substance, water, and a surfactant comprising a carboxylated alcohol alkoxylate of the general formula (I). An agrochemical composition includes the adjuvant additive and a second active substance in addition to the first active substance in the adjuvant additive.

  • Publication number: 20090005482
Abstract: A method of drying an absorbent polymer includes providing the absorbent polymer. A surfactant having a C10 to C24 ester group is incorporated with the absorbent polymer. An acid value of the surfactant is increased to further increase drying efficiency of the absorbent polymer. More specifically, after increasing the acid value of the surfactant, the absorbent polymer exhibits improved pumpability and spreadability, as compared to absorbent polymers including the surfactant without having the acid value of the surfactant increased.

  • Patent number: 6143830
Abstract: There is provided an emulsifier composition comprising (a) a blend consisting essentially of a polyoxyethylene (EO)/polyoxypropylene (PO) block copolymer which contains 10-40% EO, and where the molecular weight of the PO hydrophobe is about 500-6000; anionic surfactants; and a solvent; (b) a blend consisting essentially of a polyoxyethylene (EO)/polyoxypropylene (PO) block copolymer which contains 50-80% EO, and where the molecular weight of the PO hydrophobe is about 500-6000; anionic surfactants; and a solvent; and (c) a butyl ether of an EO/PO block copolymer.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5629260
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of liquid heteric EO/PO, wherein EO is ethylene oxide and PO is propylene oxide, block copolymers, containing at least 30% by weight EO, as a tank mix adjuvant for enhancing the weed killing activity of herbicidal formulations.

  • Patent number: 5500219
Abstract: A surfactant/polymer blend with a dissolution rate in water of not greater than 6.5 minutes has 85 to 95% EO/PO block copolymers having in excess of 70% EO, 5 to 15% of one or more polycarboxylates, and 0.1 to 5% of at least one linear alkylbenzene sulfonate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 1993
Date of Patent: March 19, 1996
    Assignee: BASF Corporation

  • Patent number: 5169894
Abstract: Hydroxy terminated polyoxyethylene homopolymers or hydroxy terminated polyoxyethylene/polyoxypropylene block copolymers mixed with polycarboxylates have been found to be effective dispersants for aqueous, high solids, pigment slurries. The blend provides a simple, efficient means of matching the requirements of a particular slurry, while lowering the anionic loading on a pigment particle.
