  • Publication number: 20250302142
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a estimating, among other things, changes in force representative of a force curve, human gait metrics, activity types, and/or other movement data from one or more sensors included in a wearable article. For example, at a first time, first sensor data via one or more sensors included in an article of footwear, is received. At a second time subsequent to the first time, second sensor data is received via the one or more sensors. Based at least in part on the first sensor data and the second sensor data, a change in force representative of at least a partial force curve is estimated. At least partially in response to the estimating, the received first sensor data, the received second sensor data, and/or a visual associated with the estimated change in force is sent, over a computer network and to a user device for presentation.

  • Patent number: 12427980
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of controlling a vehicle. The method comprises stopping (12) an engine (2) of the vehicle (1) when a speed of the vehicle (1) is greater than or equal to a speed threshold, and inhibiting (17) starting of the engine (2) if the speed of the vehicle (1) falls below the speed threshold and a driver demand for braking force is less than or equal to a braking force threshold. Further aspects of the invention relate to a control system, a system and a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12376865
Abstract: A tourniquet for occluding blood flow to a limb is improved by the addition of proximal and distal strain gauges. The proximal strain gauge may be monitored under conditions of total blood flow occlusion for time-varying signals indicative of volumetric limb changes arising from the subject's blood flow in the proximal section of the limb. Upon a change in limb occlusion pressure, the signals from the proximal strain gauge can be observed to change also, and the working pressure in the tourniquet can be adjusted safely in response. Automated control systems may further use inputs from a distal strain gauge and/or from a sensor that detects induced pressure changes within the tourniquet to improve the control of the tourniquet working pressure during operation to avoid unwanted blood flow past the tourniquet.

  • Publication number: 20250037066
Abstract: The system obtains SOH of a first component, where the SOH indicates a difference between a current state of the first component and a state of a rated new component. The system obtains historical use of the first component. Based on the SOH and the historical use, the system determines a future SOH of the first component. The system obtains an indication of a requested SOH of the first component. Based on the indication of the requested SOH and the future SOH of the first component, the system determines a first time indicating when the first component will need to be replaced. The system determines a second time indicating when the second component is available to replace the first component, where the second time occurs before the first time. The system requests a delivery of the second component when the second time is substantially close to the first time.

  • Publication number: 20240045054
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of generating a map based on ground penetrating radar (GPR) scans including receiving GPR data corresponding to multiple path of travel of one or a plurality of moving devices and/or surfaces. Some of these paths of travel overlap at least some others and some of these paths of travel are independent of one another. Where overlapping is determined, GPR data is combined to form a higher resolution and/or more accurate determination of physical properties of a subsurface. Further, the resolution can increase with each scan of a particular area and the technology can be used in conjunction with a separate positioning system like a GPS and/or replace the separate positioning system when the resolution is sufficiently high for a portion of the surface.

  • Patent number: 11564439
Abstract: A fitness tracking system includes a shoe, a monitoring device, and a controller. The monitoring device is mounted on the shoe and includes an accelerometer configured to generate acceleration data corresponding to acceleration of a foot received by the shoe. The controller is operably connected to the accelerometer and is configured to collect sampled acceleration data by sampling the generated acceleration data, to identify foot strike data of the sampled acceleration data, to identify a local minimum of the sampled acceleration data collected prior to the foot strike data, and to determine foot strike characteristic data corresponding to the foot strike data based on an acceleration value at the local minimum.

  • Patent number: 11440536
Abstract: For use in all wheel drive vehicles with a rear electronic differential, a device containing a switch for making and breaking an electrical connection in a ground line of a differential harness. When the circuit is broken and the rear electronic differential is not powered, the rear electronic differential does not power the rear axles. A wireless remote control has buttons that when pressed send a wireless signal to a receiver connected to the switch. When the first button in the remote control is pressed, the switch breaks the connection in the ground line. When the second button in the remote control is pressed, the switch completes the connection in the ground line.
