  • Publication number: 20240086608
Abstract: Embodiments include exerciser device placement in the development of an integrated circuit. Aspects of the invention include obtaining a design of an integrated circuit and creating a dynamic power blockage map for the integrated circuit. Aspects also include updating the integrated circuit design by placing one or more exercisers on the integrated circuit, wherein a location of the one or more exercisers on the integrated circuit is based on at least in part on the dynamic power blockage map. Based on a determination that the updated integrated circuit design complies with one or more design constraints, aspects further include outputting the updated integrated circuit design.

  • Patent number: 11914853
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring automatic playback settings on a media playback device. A graphical user interface displays automatic playback settings and receives selections of customized settings for automatic playback. The settings can include context granularity for automatic playback, limiting autoplay to when the media playback device is connected to a wireless network, and activating an audible notification when automatic playback of media content is beginning. An initial queue of media content is selected for playback on the media playback device. The system ascertains whether autoplay is enabled for a particular situation. If autoplay is enabled, the system automatically generates a queue of media that is related to the initial queue and initiates playback on the media playback device after the initial queue concludes.

  • Patent number: 10885333
Abstract: An augmented reality experience is provided to a user of a hand held device, such as a mobile phone, which incorporates an electronic processor, a camera and a display. In particular, images taken from video footage are displayed in a display of a hand held device together with a live camera view, to create the illusion that the subject of the video—ie the virtual moving image—is present in the field of view of the camera in real time. In this context the term “real world” image means an image taken from reality, such as a physical, real-world scenario using an electronic photo-capture technique, e.g. video recording. A camera 10 of a hand held device is aimed at a well-known object 12, which is recognisable to the device. A moving virtual image 14 of an actor playing the part of an historical figure, chosen because of its relevance to the object 12, is displayed.

  • Patent number: 9355117
Abstract: Techniques for backing up replicated data are disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for backing up replicated data comprising identifying replicated data on a primary node and a secondary node, and determining whether a backup is capable of being performed on the secondary node. In the event a backup is capable of being performed on the secondary node, the method may create a backup copy of the identified replicated data on the secondary node, and in the event a backup is not capable of being performed on the secondary node, the method may create a backup copy of the identified replicated data on the primary node.

  • Patent number: 9031908
Abstract: Method and apparatus for simultaneous comparison of multiple backup sets maintained in a computer system are described. A plurality of backup sets of data maintained in a computer system including a hierarchy of objects is managed. In some examples, a graphical user interface (GUI) is displayed on a display coupled to the computer, the GUI having views configured show a first group of backup sets from the plurality of backup sets. Individual objects of a selected backup set in the first group of backup sets are pinned in a pinned view of the views in response to a first command. A second group of backup sets from the plurality of backup sets is shown in the views in response to a second command by sliding individual objects of at least one backup set in the plurality of backup sets across at least one unpinned view of the views with respect to the individual objects of the selected backup set in the pinned view.

  • Patent number: 8332442
Abstract: Various methods and systems for automatically restoring links to a directory service's object when that object is restored from backup are disclosed. One method involves receiving user input selecting an individual directory service object for restoration from backup; restoring the directory service object from the backup; and automatically creating a forward link to the directory service object from a source object. The need to restore the forward link can be detected by either finding the forward link in a copy of the link table within the backup or finding a corresponding backward link in an attribute of a backed-up copy of the directory service object.

  • Patent number: 7987335
Abstract: Techniques for virtualizing data are disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for virtualizing data comprising identifying source data to be virtualized, intercepting an input/output (i/o) request to the source data, determining whether the input/output request is a read request or a write request, in the event the input/output request is a write request, storing one or more changes contained in the write request, and in the event the input/output request is a read request, determining whether a portion of data requested has been modified and responding to the read request. Responding to the read request may comprise providing stored data in the event a portion of the data requested has been modified, and utilizing source data in the event the data requested is unmodified.

  • Patent number: 7797281
Abstract: A system and method for performing a granular restore of data objects from a directory service is disclosed. In one embodiment, at the time a backup of the directory services database is performed, a metadata file with index values for some data objects is created. The metadata file may include an index of the name and an object identifier for each included data object. During granular restore of one or more data objects selected for restoration, the corresponding object identifier is retrieved from the metadata file using the name of the data object. The object identifier is then used to restore the data object in the directory service.

  • Publication number: 20030142238
Abstract: A method and system for triggering, composing, and displaying presentations of a live event, such as a sporting event. Prior to the event, data characterizing a set of triggering events and data characterizing a set of layout rotations is stored. Each layout rotation includes one or more layouts, and each of the layout rotations is associated with one of the triggering events. During the live event, instances of the triggering events are detected, at which time the associated layout rotation is automatically initiated.
