  • Patent number: 11875644
Abstract: A gaming machine comprises game-logic circuitry and a display device that presents a plurality of symbol positions. The game-logic circuitry causes the display device to: in response to a trigger event, present a multiplier region including a subset of the symbol positions, present one or more multiplier selectors that are associated with at least one symbol position of the subset and include a respective set of multipliers, present one or more game outcomes by populating the plurality of symbol positions with randomly selected symbols, select a multiplier for each multiplier selector associated with symbol positions being occupied by value-bearing symbols through the game outcomes, and update the award indicia for each of the value-bearing symbols associated with the multiplier selectors to indicate a respective updated award value at least partially as a function of an initial award value of the value-bearing symbol and the corresponding selected multiplier.

  • Publication number: 20230419772
Abstract: A gaming system includes a gaming machine and game-logic circuitry. The gaming machine includes a display device configured to display (i) a symbol array comprising a plurality of symbols and (ii) a modifier array comprising a plurality of modifiers. The game-logic circuitry is configured to select, for a plurality of rounds of populating the symbol array with symbols, a subarray of the modifier array. The selected subarray is displayed by the display device. The game-logic circuitry is further configured to generate, using a random-number generator, one or more random numbers to determine an outcome of a round of the plurality of rounds, modify the subarray in response to the outcome of the round including a selection symbol, and apply, in response to a trigger round of the plurality of rounds, the modifiers of the subarray to an outcome associated with the trigger round.

  • Publication number: 20230377419
Abstract: There is provided a gaming system, gaming machine, and method that utilize a presentation assembly configured to present a plurality of reels, an array, and an indicator. The plurality of reels bear a plurality of symbols. Game-logic circuitry is configured to spin and stop the plurality of reels to land symbols from the plurality of symbols in the array. In response to the landed symbols including one or more catalyst symbols and one or more value-bearing symbols, a multiplier is determined based on a number and locations of the catalyst symbols in the array. The multiplier is displayed in the indicator. An award is provided based on the multiplier applied to values borne by the value-bearing symbols.

  • Patent number: 11783675
Abstract: A gaming machine comprising a display device and game-logic circuitry that initiates a cycle counter and links a multiplier value to a symbol position. The display device selectively populates the symbol position with a value-bearing symbol including award indicia indicating an award value, updates the award indicia at least partially as a function of the award value and the multiplier value and locks, in response to the symbol position being populated by the value-bearing symbol, the value-bearing symbol within the symbol position and updates the award indicia based on the award value and the multiplier value, updates the cycle counter and the multiplier value in response to the symbol position remaining unpopulated, presents multiplier indicia associated with the updated multiplier value, and presents an award at least partially as a function of an award value indicated by award indicia of any locked value-bearing symbols within a plurality of symbol positions.

  • Publication number: 20230230454
Abstract: A gaming system comprises game-logic circuitry and a display device that presents a wagering game having a plurality of states, where each state has substantially the same expected value, the same set of available outcomes, and a respective unique set of weight parameters associated with the set of available outcomes. The game-logic circuitry selects a first state for a first duration that has a first set of weight parameters, generates at least one game outcome from the available outcomes based on the first set of weight parameters and one or more random values, causes the display device to present the generated at least one game outcome, randomly selects a state for a second duration following the first duration, and generates one or more game outcomes through the second duration based on the respective set of weight parameters associated with the randomly selected state and one or more random values.

  • Patent number: 11347025
Abstract: Kinematic mounts disclosed in this application are made from three main components: a housing, a footing, and a tightening mechanism. The tightening mechanism includes three parts: a top portion, a bottom portion, and a locking interface mechanism. When the top portion, which includes a hollow tip with interior threading, is screwed down onto the bottom portion, which includes a threaded tip, the locking interface component is pressed against at least one interior surface of the housing that causes the housing to be pressed against the footing. This action holds the housing in place relative to the footing while simultaneously preventing unwanted movement of the housing during tightening.

  • Patent number: 11246430
Abstract: Kinematic mounts are used frequently to hold objects such as mirrors, lenses, and other optical equipment. To adjust kinematic mounts, adjustment mechanisms are often required. Adjustment mechanisms can be used to make fine adjustments in applications where precision is required (e.g., laser system prototyping). Kinematic mounts that include never-before implemented form factors and structural elements require new adjustment solutions. This application describes systems that include both novel kinematic mounts as well as new adjustment mechanisms developed to reorient the new kinematic mounts. Adjustment mechanisms described in this application include a main body, a control frame, and control screws to adjust the orientation of the control frame. The control frame is coupled with a kinematic mount's housing, which rotates about a center of curvature of a bottom surface of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20210082248
Abstract: A gaming system includes at least one input device adapted to receive a physical item associated with a monetary value that establishes a credit balance, an input indicative of a wager drawn on the credit balance for a wagering game, and a cashout input that initiates a payout from the credit balance. In response to a wager input, a wagering game is initiated that includes the spinning and stopping of a set of bonus reels through a plurality of bonus spins populating a bonus array with bonus symbols. The bonus symbols include value-bearing symbols and a modifier-bearing symbol. Using a displayed modifier zone, the modifier borne by the modifier-bearing symbol is applied to a subset of the value-bearing symbols. The bonus reels comprise a combination of symbols reducing display processing requirements and improve mapping random numbers to displayed symbols for display during bonus spins having reduced durations.

In an exemplary embodiment, the mount includes a support element for supporting the optical component; one or more rotational adjustment elements for rotating said support element independently about one or more axes, respectively; and one or more linear adjustment elements for moving said support element independently along one or more axes. The adjustment elements may be manually adjustable and/or may be adjustable by an actuator. In the latter case, the actuator may be electronically controlled by a controller. The optical component may be a reflective, transmissive, or reflective/transmissive optical device, such as diffraction gratings, mirrors, beam splitters, and others.
