Abstract: A method of incentivizing distribution of job postings through social and professional networks, the method includes the steps of: associating a first identifier with a job posting, wherein the first identifier includes information further associating the first identifier with a first person; and receiving a request to associate a second identifier with the job posting, wherein the second identifier includes information associating the second identifier with a second person as well as identifying the first person as being one degree removed in an associated referral chain.
