  • Publication number: 20240172816
Abstract: An electroadhesive clutch can be coupled to a textile. The clutch can include a first electrode assembly comprising a first conductive member, and a second electrode assembly comprising a second conductive member overlaying in part the first conductive member. In an example, the clutch includes or uses an elastic encasing within which the first and second electrode assemblies are positioned. The elastic encasing can form a first bond with the first conductive member at a first location of the elastic encasing and a second bond with the second conductive member proximate a second location of the elastic encasing different than the first location.

  • Patent number: 11980237
Abstract: An electroadhesive clutch device can include a first electrode assembly comprising a first conductive portion that is at least partially covered by a first dielectric insulator, a second electrode assembly comprising a second conductive portion that is at least partially covered by a second dielectric insulator, and an electrical signal generator configured to provide first and second signals to the first and second conductive portions of the electrode assemblies, respectively. The first and second electrode assemblies can be at least partially overlapping and configured to slide relative to each other at respective surfaces that comprise the first and second dielectric insulators.

  • Patent number: 11950036
Abstract: An electronic device can include a housing defining an aperture and a display positioned in the aperture. The display and the housing can define an internal volume in which a speaker assembly is positioned. The speaker assembly can include a speaker module and a speaker enclosure in fluid communication, with the speaker enclosure at least partially defining a speaker volume.

  • Publication number: 20040095389
Abstract: A system and method manages an interaction between a user and an interactive embodied agent. An engagement management state machine includes an idle state, a start state, a maintain state, and an end state. A discourse manager is configured to interact with each of the states. An agent controller interacts with the discourse manager and an interactive embodied agent interacting with the agent controller. Interaction data are detected in a scene and the interactive embodied agent transitions from the idle state to the start state based on the interaction data The agent outputs an indication of the transition to the start state and senses interaction evidence in response to the indication. Upon sensing the evidence, the agent transitions from the start state to the maintain state. The interaction evidence is verified according to an agenda. The agent may then transition from the maintain state to the end and then idle state if the interaction evidence fails according to the agenda.
