Publication number: 20250117589Abstract: An inverse design system combines a large language model (LLM) with a task-specific optimizer, which includes a search function, a forward model, and a comparator. The LLM adjusts parameters of the optimizer's components in response to a design scenario. Then the optimizer processes the design scenario to produce design candidates. Optionally, the LLM learns from the design candidates in an iterative process. A stochastic predictive modeling system combines an LLM with input distributions and a forward model. The LLM adjusts one or more of the input distributions and/or the forward model in response to a forecast scenario. Then the forward model processes a sampling of the input distributions to produce a forward distribution. Optionally, the LLM informs the sampling process. Optionally, the LLM learns from the forward distribution.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2024Publication date: April 10, 2025Inventors: Julia Black Ling, Alberto Camacho Martinez, David Andre, Christopher Hahn

Patent number: 11000842Abstract: The invention relates to a method for applying titanium dioxide-based photocatalytic coatings to a carrier material without using binders. The invention also relates to the use of a coating. According to the invention, a titanium dioxide suspension together with a carrier liquid is sprayed onto a hot carrier in the form of a fine aerosol so that the carrier liquid flash evaporates and titanium dioxide particles of the titanium dioxide suspension are flash sintered onto the carrier material, water being used as the carrier liquid and the carrier material having a temperature of 150 to 250° C. during spraying. According to the invention, a porous and yet stable layer for a catalyst for an efficient and rapid degradation of pollutants is produced.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2017Date of Patent: May 11, 2021Assignee: LYNATOX GMBHInventors: Tobias Schnabel, Christopher Hahn

Patent number: 8745413Abstract: Personally-identifying, protected health information (“PHI”) is stored in encrypted form in protected data records, and hash values derived from the PHI are stored in associated search records. A healthcare marketer may identify market segments of individuals by querying the search records using hashed query predicates, identifying protected data records based on the search record results, and providing anonymized data-record results to the healthcare marketer. Once a market segment has been anonymously identified, the marketer may cause personalized marketing messages to be generated for individuals in the market-segment without the marketer having been exposed to PHI associated with those individuals.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2012Date of Patent: June 3, 2014Assignee: Appature, Inc.Inventors: Christopher Hahn, Derek Slager
