Abstract: A retractor includes an extending malleable body and a suction system in connection with the extending malleable body. At least a portion of the suction system is configured to conform to a conformation of the extending malleable body while maintaining suction functionality. The suction system includes at least one conduit via which material from a site can pass through the suction system. The suction system is configured to be placed in fluid connection with a vacuum source.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, non-transitory computer readable medium, apparatus, and system for counting objects includes first obtaining a digital image. Then, embodiments segment the digital image using a first segmentation parameter to obtain a first region and a second region. Embodiments then segment the second region based on a size of the second region using a second segmentation parameter different from the first segmentation parameter to obtain a third region. Lastly, embodiments generate a count of objects in the digital image by incrementing based on the first region and the third region.

Abstract: An absorbent article useful for wearing in the crotch portion of an undergarment is disclosed. The article has an absorbent structure disposed between a liquid-pervious, body-facing surface and a resilient, liquid-impervious, controlled-deformation shell. The shell has a pair of lateral sides, a garment-facing surface and a peripheral edge. Proximate the peripheral edge of the shell, there is a body-gasketing portion. The shell also has means for adjusting the length of the garment-facing surface and lateral sides. Thus, the garment-facing surface and lateral sides can expand or contract to relieve stresses induced by curving the article while allowing the body-gasketing portion to remain substantially free of folds and gaps.
