  • Patent number: 8374550
Abstract: A system and method of sending data pertaining to an accessory to a mobile device is disclosed. The accessory and the mobile device are communicable with one another using the Bluetooth™ protocol. A Bluetooth connection is established between the accessory and the mobile device. A Bluetooth query is received from the mobile device. The Bluetooth query is executed to obtain the requested data pertaining to the accessory. The requested data is sent back to the mobile device where it can be displayed on a mobile device display. Optionally, a logical link control and adaptation protocol (L2CAP) connection is established with the mobile device when an asynchronous connection-less (ACL) service is required.

  • Publication number: 20110239997
Abstract: A method for controlling combustion in a cylinder of a turbocharged engine in which intake air is reserved upstream of the cylinder. The method comprises decreasing an internal EGR rate in the cylinder during a tip-out condition if the temperature of the intake air is above a threshold, and increasing the internal EGR rate in the cylinder during a tip-out condition if the temperature of the intake air is below the threshold.

  • Patent number: 7891336
Abstract: A method adjusts a torque differential between firing cylinders based on engine speed such that greater torque differentials are provided at higher engine speeds. Further, the torque differential may be adjusted based on the firing pattern of the cylinders.

  • Patent number: 7689168
Abstract: A system and method of displaying data pertaining to an accessory on a mobile device is disclosed. The accessory and the mobile device are communicable with one another using the Bluetooth™ protocol. A set of pre-defined Bluetooth queries using an extended list of AT commands that can be used by the Bluetooth protocol are designed to perform functions that request data pertaining to the accessory. A Bluetooth connection is established between the accessory and the mobile device. A Bluetooth query is selected by a user of the mobile device and sent to the accessory. The accessory receives and executes the Bluetooth query from the mobile device to obtain the requested data pertaining to the accessory. The requested data is sent back to the mobile device where it is displayed on the mobile device display.

  • Patent number: 7556141
Abstract: A base structure (10) for a reciprocating slat conveyor is formed from a plurality of cellular base sections (18) that are connected by tongue and groove joints (28, 30). Each section is constructed from a lower wall (20), an upper wall (22) placed vertically above the lower wall (20), first and second opposite side portions (22, 24) connected to the upper and lower walls (22, 20) and a plurality of divider walls (26) spaced apart between the side portions (22, 24) and extending vertically between the upper and lower walls (20, 22). Each base section (18) comprises at least one elongated guide beam (36) that extends upwardly from the upper wall (22). The guide beam (36) has a top (42) on which an elongated bearing (14) is placed. The bearing (14) snaps onto the top (20) and a conveyor slat (16) snaps onto the bearing (14).

  • Publication number: 20090107458
Abstract: A method of operating an internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders including at least a first cylinder and a second cylinder, the method comprising firing the first cylinder and the second cylinder in an alternating sequence; during a first mode, adjusting an operating parameter of the engine to produce a first difference between an amount of torque produced by the firing of the first cylinder and an amount of torque produced by the firing of the second cylinder; during a second mode, adjusting the operating parameter of the engine to produce a second difference between an amount of torque produced by the firing of the first cylinder and an amount of torque produced by the firing of the second cylinder; and performing the first mode at a higher engine speed than the second mode; wherein the first difference is greater than the second difference.
