  • Publication number: 20230041496
Abstract: A game platform includes a game board and a frame. The game board adapted to be retained in an expanded configuration by the frame, which is configured to be removably attached to the game board by a perimeter sleeve, opposing pockets, grommets, hooks, or a combination thereof. The frame is configured to maintain a flat surface of the game board during game play such that the game board is adapted to receive a plurality of gaming pins thereon. A kit with a collapsible game platform configurable as a carrying case containing therein all the constituent game pieces necessary for game play is also provided and includes at least two collapsible game platforms each having a game board, a removably attachable frame, and a plurality of spiked feet configured to be removably received by holes in a base of the game board; game pins, and at least one game ball.

  • Patent number: 11383151
Abstract: An automated system is provided for scoring and tracking pin position and pin placement, gameplay, and playing time during games of FOWLING™. A modified pin with a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag affixed to or implanted in the pin provides tracking of individual pins during gameplay. A RFID reader is used to poll the set of pins on the platform to determine when a pin has left a set position. A processor controls the RFID tag reader and a clock so as to track pin position versus time. A pin position array is used in conjunction with conductive or magnetic disks on the bottom portion or surface of the pin for tracking pin position, pin placement, and gameplay. The conductive or magnetic disks complete circuit junctions in the array that confirm the presence of a standing pin and when a pin has been dislodged and presumably toppled over.

  • Patent number: 11325010
Abstract: A system and method for playing a pin based game with an impact resistant ball and process of forming an impact resistant ball are provided. The impact resistant ball has an increased resistance to damage caused to a ball by repeated impact with objects such as a game board and game pins thereby decreasing the frequency with which the ball must be replaced. The impact resistant ball also has utility to afford a larger segment of the population the ability to properly grip and throw the impact resistant ball by providing an increased length gripper able to accommodate a greater range of hand sizes. The impact resistant ball has further utility to automatically identify and transmit data including the impact of the ball with the game pins and ball metrics including speed, pressure and weight.

  • Publication number: 20220088468
Abstract: A method of betting on a pin based game includes the making of a first bet by placement of money or a substitute for money on a first position of a betting mat or by a digital mat on a graphical user interface, the first bet corresponding to a first player performance metric of a player in the pin based game. The player then throws at least one throw of a ball at a pin arrangement having at least one standing pin in attempt to knock down the at least one pin. The first bet plus a premium are returned based upon the first player performance metric being achieved. The premium is defined by premium odds that is based in part on the probability. A system for betting on a pin based game includes a pin associated with a sensor, a computer, a graphical user interface, and a betting mat.

  • Patent number: 11241611
Abstract: A game platform and process of setting up and scoring individual game pins on the game platform is provided. The platform and process has utility to mitigate the negative impact of recurring manual setup of individual game pins on a game surface prior to beginning or continuing play such as the misalignment of individual game pins potentially creating an unfair advantage or disadvantage to those playing the game. The platform and process also has utility to increase the efficiency and uniformity of game setup and game play. The platform affords automatic identification of a misaligned game pin and notifies a player of the need to realign the game pin. The platform has further utility to automatically score the game and generate additional game information in real-time.
