Abstract: An educational trading card game involves the use of a plurality of cards having graphic representations of the events, persons and/or concepts associated therewith. The educational trading cards have various colors, shapes, sizes, numerical representations and various informational content associated therewith which enable a game player, in accordance with a particular set of rules, to acquire as many trading cards as possible to accomplish “winning” of particular game rounds with one or more opponent players. In one embodiment, the trading card system and method of the present invention is predicated upon the Pokémon trading card game rules and procedures but is distinguished by having educational content associated with such cards.
