  • Publication number: 20220109562
Abstract: A peer-to-peer (P2P) distributed data management system (DDMS) may operate as an operating system on which P2P distributed applications are utilized to manage data on distributed ledgers, such as blockchains. The DDMS may enable fast development of secure and scalable enterprise P2P distributed applications that support permanent control of every piece of data on a distributed ledger, synchronization, normalization of the data, and encryption of the data. Security of the data in the distributed ledger means that even if someone hacks into the distributed ledger, access is only gained to one block of data (e.g., single email) and not all blocks of data (e.g., entire email account). The DDMS may be integrated into Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. The DDMS further automatically supports sequential smart contracts on the distributed ledger.

  • Patent number: 7062466
Abstract: A system and method for pricing a classified advertisement. The method includes receiving a classified advertisement from an advertiser to be distributed to at least one of multiple device types. The classified advertisement may be substantially simultaneously formatted for at least two of the device types. The classified advertisement may be displayed as formatted for presentation by the device type(s). A price may be determined and displayed for the classified advertisement as formatted for presentation by the device type(s).

  • Patent number: 6862556
Abstract: Historical data elements and historical information may be generated based on input parameters and/or functional operations being applied to the sensory data or content. In one embodiment, at least one historical data element is concatenated to a sensory data element, and the historical information is maintained. The sensory data, historical data elements, and historical information may be stored in a single datafile. A recording device may record the sensory data and input parameters. The recording device may apply or encode the historical data elements to the sensory data. Alternatively, a post-processing system may receive the sensory data with or without the historical information and encode the sensory data and historical data elements into a datafile. The datafile may be communicated across a network, possibly via a parser, to licensees or consumers of the content.

  • Publication number: 20040249786
Abstract: Method and system are disclosed for managing consumer feedback in an electronic content management system. The method and system of the invention includes a mechanism for consumers to provide feedback regarding the content that is published. The feedback is routed to the appropriate personnel responsible for publishing the content. In this way, the disconnect between what the consumer would like to see or cares about and the content that is published is closed. In addition, the consumer feedback triggers monitoring of the consumers content accessing activity, which allows the consumers consumption pattern to be tracked on an individual basis. This information may then be used to better define the content that get published in order to match the consumer's interests.

  • Publication number: 20020059397
Abstract: A system and method for distributing content over a distribution channel of a network. The method may include receiving the content to be distributed over the distribution channel of the network. At least one rule may be applied to the content, where the rule(s) may be based on the distribution channel for the content to be distributed. The content having the rule(s) applied thereto may be communicated to have at least one data element further applied thereto via a distinct process from the applying of the rule(s). The content may thereafter be prepared for distribution over the distribution channel.
