  • Publication number: 20230035386
Abstract: A combined dirt collector and cutout cock (CDC & COC) device for a rail car control to prevent unintentional re-pressurization of the control valve and rail car braking system. The device has an inlet configured for interconnection to an air supply, an outlet configured for interconnection to a control valve of a rail car, a valve moveable between a first position where an inlet is connected to an outlet and a second position where the inlet is isolated from the outlet, and a control valve vent positioned downstream of the valve and configured to open in response to the valve being moved into the second position. The valve may include a ball having a first passageway for selectively connecting and disconnecting the inlet from the outlet and a second passageway formed therethrough that is positioned to interconnect the outlet with the vent when the valve is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 10816173
Abstract: Mounting brackets for installing extruded profiles on surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, tile surfaces, etc., may be resilient. The mounting bracket may include a coil spring designed to rotate or pivot with respect to a main body. The spring may apply force to a rear of the surface thus holding or maintaining the mounting bracket in place. The mounting bracket may be a flat spring. The flat spring may apply force to side surfaces of an opening formed in the surface thus holding or maintaining the mounting bracket in place. The mounting bracket may hold an elongated profile designed for recessed LED lighting to the surface.

  • Patent number: 9643587
Abstract: A sequencing valve for an automatic parking brake. The sequencing valve has a housing with a first port for communication with a source of a brake pipe pressure, a second port for communication with an exhaust, and a third port for communication with a brake pipe pressure input of an automatic parking brake. A valve body in the housing is moveable to either isolate the brake pipe pressure from the input to the parking brake, or couple brake pipe pressure to the input so that the parking brake may be released. A pilot is interconnected to the valve body for moving the valve body from the first position to the second position and can be driven by a charging and partial release of brake pipe pressure, charging of brake cylinder pressure, or a pneumatic signal provided by an electrical or a pneumatic control valve.

  • Patent number: 9222651
Abstract: An LED light fixture has an extruded base housing element defining an opening which is removably bridged by a metal heat sink to which is mounted at least one LED. A plastic cover lens has deflectable legs with axial concave elements which engage with outwardly facing convex elements on cover mount members which protrude from the heat sink on either side of the LED. The LED power supply may be supported in a compartment above the heat sink. The cover lens has a wrap-around connection to the heat sink cover mount members which is tolerant of variation in heat sink extrusion dimensions, and which is insensitive to variations in main housing element dimensions. Alternative trim elements and cover lenses allow field configuration of the fixture to various applications.

  • Publication number: 20130157371
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a device and method for accurately extracting individual organic acid and/or Total Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA), ammonium (NH4+) and buffering inorganic carbon compound or hydrogen carbonate (HCO3?) concentrations trends from an active Anaerobic Digestion (AD) process. The substantially real-time individual and/or total VFA, NH4+ and HCO3? information allows the AD operator to effectively operate the system at optimal efficiency and ensure that VFA and NH4+ concentrations do not reach toxic levels that can potentially cause the AD process to fail. The general health of an AD digester and process may be determined by using a ratio of total organic acids to total inorganic carbon as determined by the method.
