  • Publication number: 20100016808
Abstract: A system for tissue augmentation using a thin-walled needle. The system includes a thin-walled needle and a syringe. The system further includes a plurality of particles for injection into a desired tissue to be augmented. The thin-walled needle has an inner diameter sufficient to allow for passage of the particles and an outer diameter designed to minimize the puncture wound in the skin when the needle is inserted. The particles may be suspended in a carrier.

  • Publication number: 20090299337
Abstract: A self locking luer type connection. The luer lock includes a male and female luer portion adapted to removably connect to each other and capable of forming a sealed fluid flow path. A combination of both hard and semi-hard materials is utilized for either a male luer portion or a female luer portion to create a sealing surface that features the benefits of both materials. By applying a less rigid material to a rigid base, the luer lock connection is able to be used multiple times, have a large range of tightening positions that function to create a seal, will be reliable in high-pressure connections, and will function with multiple types of the corresponding luer portion.

  • Patent number: 7341576
Abstract: A medical delivery or extraction system comprising a needle assembly having a needle and a hub coupled to the needle. The hub includes a verification region or component. A syringe body rotatably coupled to the needle assembly includes at least one indicia on the outer surface thereof. When the indicia corresponds to the verification region, the user is provided with an indication that the syringe body is properly connected to the needle assembly. The system also includes a lever arm coupled to the needle assembly. The lever arm is sized and positioned to provide a user with a mechanism of easily securing the needle assembly to the syringe without the use of external tools.
