  • Patent number: 11094182
Abstract: A light fixture can include a housing and a sensor device having a sensor that measures at least one parameter associated with a position of the housing. The light fixture can also include a controller coupled to the sensor device. The controller can receive multiple measurements of the at least one parameter taken by the sensor device. The controller can also evaluate each measurement against at least one range of acceptable values. The controller can further send a notification when a measurement falls outside the at least one range of acceptable values. The notification can state that the housing is moved out of position and requires attention.

  • Patent number: 8799448
Abstract: Improved systems and methods for developing rule packs can include receiving monitoring rules specified in a markup language, and combining them to produce a rule pack. Combining processes can leverage product development processes such as Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), thereby allowing any number of developers to work on the same rule pack simultaneously. Common settings may be added to rule packs in an automated, platform-specific way, thereby eliminating the need for rule writers to concern themselves with such common settings. Rule packs may be converted from a markup language to a binary file for use by a monitoring service.

  • Publication number: 20040244316
Abstract: A roof covering (10) comprising a plastic film (40) and an adhesive (46) positioned under the lower film surface (44). The film (40) can be a plastic film selected to provide substantial solar reflectance and high thermal emittance and the adhesive (46) can be a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The roof covering (10) of the present invention can be provided in a roll, sheets, or other medium, and it can be applied to an EPDM membrane after the membrane is assembled to the roof. The roof covering (10) can instead be incorporated into a laminate including an EPDM membrane and assembled to the roof at the same time as the membrane.

  • Patent number: 6209207
Abstract: A handheld candle wick cutting device enables an individual to trim the excess long candle wick on any flat-top candles, but especially on candles positioned deep in a narrow candle jar/holder or the like. The wick cutting device includes a main outer tube and an inner tube which has an outer diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the outer tube. The inner tube is rotatably installed within the outer tube and being longer than the outer tube. A pair of cutting blades are mounted to the outer and inner tubes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, at an operable location to cause a cutting action when one of the tubes is rotated. Each blade has an off-center cutting aperture which when superimposed create a through opening in the cutting device, where a candle wick may be partially inserted therein and perpendicular to the two cutting blades.

  • Patent number: 4832848
Abstract: A dispersion of air or oxygen in liquid sewage and/or or sludge is admitted tangentially into the lower portion of an upright vessel wherein the dispersion rises and is compelled to flow through eccentric flow restricting passages in several superimposed horizontal partitions so that the dispersion is repeatedly induced to form a turbulent helical flow. The rising dispersion flows around a tube which returns a portion of the dispersion into the lower part of the vessel and causes the remaining portion to overflow into a receptacle having an outlet at a level below the open top of the tube. The dispersion which descends in the tube is readmitted tangentially into one or more chambers which are separated from each other by the partitions in the vessel and communicate with each other by way of the respective flow restricting passages.

  • Patent number: 4623964
Abstract: A modified hierarchical homogeneous real time transaction, consolidated auditing and side processing business system, operating under a system wide parameter control, processes and encapsulates each transaction as a plurality of parameter dominated records in an input terminal, transmitting the records to an attached controller at the end of the transaction. Parameters, required but not stored in the terminal, are requested from the attached controller and stored for the duration of the transaction. First level processors are provided with a tandem pair of facilities to trap, process and re-route system messages, all system interfaces being individually addressable. Additional force to interface paths are provided. Unit inputs incorporate parallel high speed buffers and a terminal record flushing mechanism is incorporated in each transaction terminal. The buffers, mechanisms, and critical registers have their own standby power supplies.
