  • Patent number: 8760449
Abstract: A system includes a computing device that includes a memory for storing a three-dimensional model that represents particles of a coarse fire simulation. The computing device also includes a graphics refiner for producing two-dimensional simulation segments from the three-dimensional model that represents particles of a coarse fire simulation. The separation distance between two or more of the two-dimensional simulation segments is based upon a level of spatial detail provided by the coarse fire simulation. The graphics refiner is configured to separately process the two-dimensional simulation segments to produce a detailed fire simulation.

  • Publication number: 20040101527
Abstract: The invention is based on the discovery that molecules (e.g. a monoclonal antibody or a portion thereof) which bind specifically with the CD18 subunit of a CD18-containing leukocyte cell-surface antigens (e.g. a cell-surface antigen such as Mac-1 which contains both CD18 and a form of CD11) can be used to inhibit, prevent, and alleviate vascular stenotic and restenotic lesions and symptoms and disorders associated with such lesions.

  • Patent number: 6663863
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of inhibiting stenosis or restenosis in a subject. In one embodiment, an agent which inhibits recruitment and/or adhesion of neutrophils and mononuclear cells to a site of vascular injury is administered to a subject in need thereof. In another embodiment, a first agent which inhibits recruitment and/or adhesion of neutrophils to a site of vascular injury, and a second agent which inhibits recruitment and/or adhesion of mononuclear cells to a site of vascular injury are administered to a subject in need thereof. In particular embodiments, the agents are antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof which bind to CD18 or CCR2.
