  • Patent number: 11975143
Abstract: An electronic smoking article includes an outer tube extending in a longitudinal direction, an inner tube within the outer tube and including a pair of opposing slots, a liquid supply comprising a liquid material, a coil heater, a wick and a mouth end insert. The coil heater is located in the inner tube. The coil heater is formed of an iron-free, nickel-chromium alloy and has substantially uniformly spaced windings. The wick is surrounded by the coil heater such that the wick delivers liquid material to the coil heater and the coil heater heats the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol in the inner tube.

  • Patent number: 11952353
Abstract: Compounds that inhibit the activity of Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), or pharmaceutically acceptable salts or prodrugs thereof, and methods of using these compounds to treat cancer and other diseases.

  • Patent number: 11516181
Abstract: A non-transitory, processor-readable medium includes code representing instructions to cause a processor to perform a method. The method includes receiving, from a traffic filter at a boundary of a network, a network communication and determining the network communication is a first anomalous communication associated with a service that does not exist within the network, uses a non-readable character set, or includes a malicious payload. The method further includes, at least partially based on the determining, generating a first rule, at least partially based on an analysis of a subset of partial or exact fingerprints of the first anomalous communication. The first rule is communicated to the traffic filter for the traffic filter to filter, from network communications external to the network, a second anomalous communication.

  • Publication number: 20200336461
Abstract: A device, system, and method for defending a computer network are described. network communications are received by a traffic filter, which dynamically determines whether the communications include an anomaly (i.e., are “anomalous” communications), or whether the communications are normal, and do not include an anomaly. The traffic filter routes normal communications to the correct device within its network for servicing he service requested by the communications. The traffic filter routes any anomalous communications to a virtual space engine, which is configured to fake a requested service (e.g., to entice deployment of a malicious payload). Anomalous communications are analyzed using an analytical engine, which can dynamically develop rules for handling anomalous communications in-line, and the rules developed by the analytical engine can be employed by the traffic filter against future received communications.

  • Patent number: 10785191
Abstract: A router includes a processor-readable medium including code representing instructions to cause a processor to perform operations. The operations include routing received information communicated from a first network to a component associated with a service within a second network, responsive to a determination that the received information is to be handled by a service that exists within the second network. The operations also include routing the received information to a predetermined component, responsive to a determination that the received information is to be handled by a service that does not exist within the second network.
