  • Publication number: 20250148158
Abstract: A method for analyzing a vehicle user entry and egress into a vehicle includes receiving vehicle user data and receiving vehicle data. The vehicle data includes vehicle dimensions. The method further includes determining a three-dimensional path to enter and egress the vehicle using the vehicle user data and the vehicle data, determining a user satisfaction score of the three-dimensional path to enter and egress the vehicle, comparing the user satisfaction score with a predetermined score threshold to determine whether the user satisfaction score is greater than the predetermined score threshold; and virtually updating the vehicle dimensions until the user satisfaction score is greater than the predetermined score threshold in response to determining that the user satisfaction score is not greater than the predetermined score threshold.

  • Patent number: 6757470
Abstract: A faceplate having at least one opening with a cover. The cover may be removed after initial use of a circuit board to be replaced with a connector unit through which conductors may extend to the circuit board to allow for its modification in operation. This enables the same faceplate to be used for modification purposes and without the expense entailed with a faceplate of different design. The cover may be such as to completely cover the whole of the opening. Alternatively, the cover may be provided by a connector unit which enables interconnection of conductors through the faceplate in one part of the unit while providing, in another part of the unit, the cover for part of the opening. This connector unit may then be replaced in the modification by another connector unit which enables connectors to extend and be connected through the whole of the opening. Conveniently, a latching arrangement is provided for assembly and disassembly purposes for both the cover and connector unit with frontal access.

  • Patent number: 5878532
Abstract: A door cartridge assembly is provided to be installed into a vehicle door. The assembly includes a door hardware mounting panel having door components mounted thereon and being constructed and arranged to be fixedly mounted to a vehicle door; coupling structure carried by the mounting panel; and a door latch assembly constructed and arranged to be secured to a vehicle door to provide a latch for the vehicle door. The door latch assembly includes a latching member constructed and arranged to be movable between a latching position and a releasing position. The coupling structure is constructed and arranged to receive the latching member in latching relation therewith when the latching member is in the latching position thereof, thereby permitting the mounting panel to be transported with the door latch assembly connected thereto.
