  • Patent number: 8076560
Abstract: A grip member for connection to an instrument pick includes a grip member body having opposed first and second sides. A plurality of abrasive particles is attached to and extends away from the first side. An adhesive on the second side is used to adhesively connect the grip member to a pick surface. An aperture extends entirely through the grip member first and second sides such that the pick surface is exposed through the aperture when the grip member is adhesively connected to the pick surface permitting the user's finger to contact both the abrasive particles and the pick surface through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 6798347
Abstract: A sensor head component is configurable as an accessory for performing various functions on other sensor head components interconnected in a sensor head of a monitoring tool assembly. Certain sensor head components may benefit from the performance of such functions as removable of debris from particular surfaces as well as calibration processes. To perform these functions, an accessory is configurable to include a body portion with a motor positioned therein. Connectable to the motor may be an accessory arm which includes at least one element connected thereto for performing the particular function. When activated, the motor manipulates the accessory arm such that the element moves within a target area and performs the particular function upon at least one of the sensor head components.

  • Publication number: 20030148672
Abstract: A multi-parameter tool assembly provides for monitoring of one or more parameters, such as those relating to water quality. As part of the tool assembly, a sensor head is configured to receive and electrically interconnected with a plurality of interchangeable sensor head components. The sensor head components are specially configured to provide for the removal and insertion out of sensors through the application of a linear force. The housing for the tool assembly, which may include a plurality of layers, is further configured for simplified assembly with the sensor head and other components through the use of at least one radially compressive sealing device. The assembly is further connectable to a communications network wherein signals may be exchanged with one or more remote locations.
