  • Publication number: 20240027041
Abstract: A lighting device includes a housing having a cavity and a translucent area, a plurality of discrete light emission points (DLEPs) positioned in the cavity for emitting light through the translucent area, a power source, and a controller causing the DLEPs to simulate a burning wax candle. The housing is configured to imitate a wax candle. The controller actuates a first of the DLEPs according to sequential first intensity values, and actuates a second of the DLEPs according to sequential second intensity values. The sequential first intensity values are determined by sequentially combining first change values to an initial first intensity value, and the sequential second intensity values are determined by sequentially combining second change values to an initial second intensity value.

  • Publication number: 20230296218
Abstract: A lighting device has a power interface and a control circuit in communication with a program and the LEDs to simulate a flame. The program determines a first group of LED control integers to simulate a perpetual middle with a perpetual middle center and a perpetual middle range within which one or more of the LEDs are to be at least partially actuated. At least one LED is actuated based on the first group of LED control integers. A first target for simulating movement of the perpetual middle center toward the first target and a first acceleration value is defined. The program determines a second group of LED control integers based on the first target and the first acceleration value such that the perpetual middle center becomes closer to the first target. One or more of the LEDs is actuated based on the second group of LED control integers.

  • Patent number: 10036543
Abstract: A road flare including a two-sided panel, each side containing a grid of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). In a preferred embodiment one side would include typical white or standard colored LEDs and the other side would include red or other color LED. Each panel has several modes of lighting, which is selectable via a power switch or other switch. The different modes include solid lights, blinking lights, off, or a combination thereof. For example, the red side of the panel may be set to blinking or flashing, while the white side of the panel could be constantly lit. This creates a flashing hazard strobe facing away from a vehicle to warn oncoming vehicles, and a solid white light source aimed towards the vehicle to assist with repairs or other tasks.

  • Publication number: 20180153280
Abstract: A fog-free shower mirror with a built-in speaker and radio receiver for playing music. The radio component may pair with a Bluetooth-enabled smart device (e.g. smartphone or tablet computer), or any other computing device, or may otherwise be wirelessly connected to a computing device for streaming music through the radio speaker. An AM/FM antenna may also be included with integrated preset buttons for setting multiple AM/FM transmission stations. The entire device is waterproof to protect all electronic components of the radio and speaker.

  • Publication number: 20170205058
Abstract: A lamp including an articulating head element containing several light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The lights have several modes of lighting, which are selectable via a power switch or other switch. The different modes include solid lights in a directed cone, solid lights in all directions, blinking lights, off, or a combination thereof. The LEDs are contained within a head portion which is connected to a base by a hinge or a pin element. The head portion may be tilted up away from the base between zero degrees and 90 degrees. A preferred embodiment would allow the arm to stop at any angle, but it should at least stop perpendicular to the base at 90 degrees. A clip allows the lamp to be connected to an article of clothing or a metallic surface via a magnet within the clip.

  • Publication number: 20160238224
Abstract: A portable electric flare including a two-sided panel, each side containing a grid of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). In an exemplary embodiment one side would include typical white or standard colored LEDs and the other side would include red or other color LED. The panel of LEDs is connected to an arm which is connected to a base by a hinge or a pin. The panel and arm may be tilted up away from the base if the base is placed on a flat surface, such that the panel is some angle between zero degrees and 90 degrees away from the base. A preferred embodiment would allow the arm to stop at any angle, but it should at least stop perpendicular to the base at 90 degrees. This allows the LED to be viewed from passersby while the base provides a solid support preventing the flare from tipping.

  • Publication number: 20130107507
Abstract: A floating light (10) to aid a night time fisherman. The floating light (10) is maneuverable by remote control (20). The floating light (10) includes a battery operated directional light (13) mounted onto a floating vessel. The directional light (13) is directed at the surface of the water or just above the surface so that a fisherman is able to illuminate a desired area when fishing at night to safely illuminate obstacles. The floating light (10) desirably operates at “casting distance” and has a smooth low profile. The floating light (10) may include a motor driven propeller (14) and rudder (15) operably connected to a radio remote control receiver (45). A radio remote control transmitter (27) operable by the fisherman transmits signals to the receiver (45) on the floating light (10) to direct the motion of the floating light (10).
