  • Patent number: 12459795
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for automated force feedback detection for autonomous robots transporting containers. In one embodiment, an example mobile robot is configured to transport a container. The mobile robot can include a first sensor, a second sensor, a motor, and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine that the container is loaded, determine, using at least one of the first sensor and the second sensor, that a first change in load distribution along a first axis satisfies a threshold, determine that the first change in load distribution has persisted for a first length of time, and cause the motor to be disabled.

  • Patent number: 12379723
Abstract: A method includes operating an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) in a first physical location according to a first safety protocol of the AMR and based on a location of the AMR relative to a second physical location different from the first physical location and with a second safety protocol different from the first safety protocol, switching the AMR to operate under the second safety protocol rather than the first safety protocol while the AMR is located in the second physical location. The method also includes, in response to detecting that the AMR is exiting the second physical location after the AMR has completed operating in the second physical location, switching the AMR to operate under the first safety protocol.
