    Abstract: An assembly of a closure with a container, for sealing of the container, comprises the container having an inner container surface defining a cavity opening to ambient through an opening, the closure comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, the lower portion having a lower lateral surface, the lower portion being adapted to be inserted into the opening of the container and two grooves provided on the lower lateral surface and adapted to receive two respective sealing members, the two grooves being separated by a predetermined distance, the two sealing members provided in the two respective grooves, the two sealing members being adapted to provide sealing between the lower lateral surface and the inner container surface, wherein the lower lateral surface, the inner container surface and the two auxiliary sealing members together define an annular space and a barrier sealant in the annular space.
