Patent number: 11994588Abstract: A three-dimensional scan of an object may be performed by a three-dimensional scanning device to obtain a three-dimensional representation of the object. A coherent beam of light is emitted towards and reflected by the object with the reflected light being measured to form a set of light measurements at each of a plurality of data acquisition points. A sensor array in the device tracks and measures movement of the device and a linear displacement with respect to a fixed anchor point that is external to the device. The tracked movement of the device and the reflected light measurements are synchronized according to when they were measured with this synchronized data being used to generate a three-dimensional representation of the object.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2019Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Inventors: Christopher Adam Bertoni, Francis Kent Dickie, Ivan Pakhotin

Publication number: 20240135041Abstract: A processor may identify that a new data entry is being generated. The processor may identify that the new data entry is associated with a replica data entry threshold. The replica data entry threshold may indicate a minimum amount of replica data entries to generate. The replica data entries may be substantially similar to the new data entry. The processor may generate an amount of replica data entries. The processor may store the new data entry and the amount of replica data entries in a repository.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2022Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventor: Christopher Kent Karstens

Patent number: 11966370Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing a multi-service file system for a hosted computing instance via a locally-addressable secure compute layer. Software within the instance can submit file operations to the secure compute layer, which the secure compute layer can translate into calls to one or more network-accessible storage services. To provide a multi-service file system, the secure compute layer can obtain mapping data mapping file system objects within the virtualized file system to different network-accessible storage services. On receiving a file operation, the secure compute layer can determine one or more network-accessible storage services corresponding to the file operation, and submit appropriate calls to the one or more network-accessible storage services.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Christopher Magee Greenwood, Marc Stephen Olson, Jacob Wires, Andrew Kent Warfield
