  • Publication number: 20230308861
Abstract: This application relates to a profile transfer method, and an apparatus. A first electronic device includes M profiles of eSIM modules, and determines at least one to-be-transferred profile in response to an operation command for a first transfer interface, where the first transfer interface is used to display transfer of the M profiles; the first electronic device sends a first message to a second electronic device, where the first message includes at least one piece of transfer information, and the transfer information includes at least one of the following: an identifier of a to-be-transferred profile, an address of a profile server corresponding to the to-be-transferred profile, or an identifier of the second electronic device; and the first electronic device displays, in the first transfer interface, that transfer preparation for the at least one to-be-transferred profile on the first electronic device is completed.

  • Patent number: 10802819
Abstract: A patch generator for generating a patch that expresses a series of updates to a source image that will transform the source image into a target image. The patch generator compares sections of the target image, in turn, with respective versions of the source image. The patch generator generates the series of updates for the patch in dependence on the comparisons between the sections of the target image and the respective versions of the source image. Comparing each section of the target image with versions of the source image that are expected to be stored by the device during the process of implementing the patch allows the possibility that the device could change the source image in its memory while it implements the patch.

  • Publication number: 20150282136
Abstract: A scheduler for allocating communication resources to terminals that are operating in a communication network comprising a plurality of cells, the scheduler comprising a macro-scheduler configured to, for the plurality of cells, allocate the communication resources available to each cell between the terminals in that cell using a first scheduling algorithm and a micro-scheduler configured to allocate the communication resources available to one of the cells between the terminals in that cell using: (i) the macro-scheduler's allocation of communication resources between those terminals; and (ii) a second scheduling algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20120086551
Abstract: A device capable of providing information to a user through a plurality of different alerting signals, includes a sensing system capable of sensing indications that the device is in a first particular physical relationship to the user's body; an alerting system capable of conveying information to the user through a plurality of different alerting signals, the alerting signals including: a first set of alerting signals and a second set of alerting signals that are such as to be less noticeable to the user if the device is in the first particular physical relationship to the user's body than the first set of alerting signals, the device further including comprising a controller responsive to the sensing system and configured to estimate from the indications whether the device is in the first particular physical relationship to the user's body, and while it is to control the alerting system so as to suppress the provision of information to the user through the second set of alerting signals.
