  • Patent number: 8171761
Abstract: A locking device is provided and operable to retain an article intended for display and handling in a designated area. In particular, the locking device is formed with an adjustable fastening loop, which can assume an extended position to receive a free end or a portion of the article, and a retracted position to secure the article in the fastening loop. The fastening loop can be adjusted between the extended position and the retracted position, so that the locking device is adapted to receive and secure articles of various sizes. The locking device is preferably mounted to a fixture, such as a display table or counter via a tether cable. When the cable is mounted to the fixture, the locking device is capable of retaining an article in the designated area and preventing the article from being removed from the designated area. For example, the locking device can secure a sample item to a designated area, such as a display counter in a retail store.

  • Patent number: 5022539
Abstract: A display for supporting merchandise includes a two-sided tray having a flat surface on one side and on the reverse side, a surface adapted to engage peg hooks. The tray is pivotably connected to a vertical support structure by means of a bracket that connects at one portion to the tray and at another portion to the support structure. In one position of the tray, the flat surface is horizontal and merchandise may be placed on top of the tray. In a second position of the tray, the tray is vertical with the hook engaging means exposed. Latching means maintains the tray in the vertical position when the hook engaging mode of use is desired. A plurality of trays are supported, one over the other on the support structure and each tray may be positioned individually in the horizontal or vertical position without regard to the orientation of any other tray.

  • Patent number: 4211331
Abstract: A merchandising display comprising a vertical post and at least two vertically spaced apart support members rotatably mounted by bearings on the post. A plurality of tongues project horizontally in different directions from each support member. A plurality of merchandise--holding cases are carried by the support members, each case having two pockets for accommodating one tongue of each support member. The tongues and pockets are formed with cooperable locking means to secure the cases to the support members. The post has an angle-shaped cross-section, and each bearing has a portion non-rotatably accommodating the post. Each case has a removable merchandise-holding front panel, which is preferably translucent, and the back of each case is open to transmit light to the panel from a light source mounted on the post.
