Abstract: A method is provided for simplifying a takeover of control of a motor vehicle by a vehicle-external operator. In the method, images of the surroundings of the vehicle are captured from the vehicle and semantically segmented. Errors in a corresponding segmentation model are predicted on the basis of at least one such image each. If a corresponding error prediction triggering a request for the takeover of control is made, an image-based visualization is automatically generated in which exactly one region corresponding to the error prediction is visually highlighted. The request and the visualization are then sent to the vehicle-external operator.

Abstract: A method and an assistance device assist automated driving operation of a motor vehicle. Surroundings raw data recorded by way of a surroundings sensor system of the motor vehicle are processed by the assistance device in order to generate semantic surroundings data. This is accomplished by carrying out semantic object recognition. Further, a comparison of predefined semantically annotated map data against the semantic surroundings data is performed. This involves static objects indicated in the map data being identified in the semantic surroundings data as far as possible. Discrepancies detected during the process are used to recognize perception errors of the assistance device. A recognized perception error prompts a predefined safety measure to be carried out.

Abstract: A method for generating random content for applying said generated random content to a surface of an article and/or as content for a screen saver type of use may be described and disclosed. Randomized elements generated may be selected from one or more of the group comprising: logographs of an Asian alphabet, logographs of a Chinese alphabet, letters of a letter based alphabet, words from a dictionary, and the like. The article may comprise a tangible physical object capable of surface ornamentation. For example, and without limiting the scope of the present invention, the article may be selected from the group comprising: walls, canvas, paper, wall paper, vinyl, plastics, stickers, decals, fabric, textiles, upholstery, clothing, apparel, drinking glasses, and the like.

Abstract: A system and method for using a multi-parametric marketplace during business-to-business commerce. The system includes an enterprise procurement platform, a collaborative commerce tool, multiple suppliers and multiple public and/or private business-to-business marketplaces. The enterprise procurement platform includes multiple business units, a contract manufacturer and a completion center. Data and business processes associated with the business units for supply chain partners are tightly integrated in the enterprise procurement platform. When buyers in the system select suppliers, the contract manufacturer creates contracts based on information obtained from trading partners and the completion center ensures that contract negotiations are completed and successfully awarded.
