    Abstract: A silicone rubber coating material to be bonded to substrates such as on gas turbine components is made by providing a silicone rubber layer having a fiber layer attached to one side of the silicone rubber layer prior to its molding into a compound. The fibers may be either woven fabrics or random fiber sheets and the fiber layer may be from about 3 mils to about 30 mils (0.0762 mm to 0.762 mm) thick.
