  • Publication number: 20240136081
Abstract: Disclosed are galvanic cells and methods for treating a molten salt by use of the galvanic cells. The galvanic cell can provide anti-corrosion treatment and improved corrosion resistance via electrochemical and chemical reactions involving a corrosive impurity in a molten salt. Reaction products of the chemical and electrochemical reactions include hydrogen gas that can carry hydrogen isotopes evolved in the molten salt. The system can also include removal of the hydrogen gas from the molten salt and separation and recovery of tritium contained therein.

  • Patent number: 9441402
Abstract: A power actuator is provided for a door latch. A transfer lever within the housing is selectively coupled to a motor-driven worm gear via a lost motion connector. Engaging the motor moves the transfer lever between a locked and an unlocked position, actuating an output lever mounted to a spline on the transfer lever. The worm gear returns to a neutral position when the motor is disengaged, leaving the transfer lever in either the locked or unlocked positions. Manually moving the output lever causes the transfer lever to move between its locked and unlocked positions without back-driving the worm gear. A toggle mechanism prevents the transfer lever from accidentally moving or only moving partially between the locked and unlocked positions.

  • Patent number: 7467815
Abstract: A latch (1) for a deck lid includes a load lever (41) that operates after the latch (1) is released to prevent the pawl (22) from immediately returning to a latched position. The load lever (41) acts on a pawl lever (21) which in turn acts on the pawl (22). The load lever (41) enables the latch (1) to release even under load such as that created by a heavy layer of snow on the deck lid. The load lever (41) only operates during the opening cycle of the latch (1) and automatically resets as the ratchet (29) moves to the fully open condition.

  • Patent number: 7111877
Abstract: A latch has a unidirectional power release mechanism. The mechanism has a rotatable gear with a boss on the gear, a motor for rotating the gear to orbit the gear boss through an operating cycle of the mechanism, a ratchet movable from a latched position to an unlatched position, a pawl lever, a pawl, and a toggle which moves between a first toggle position and a second toggle position to set the limits of the operating cycle of the mechanism. The toggle pivots in response to the orbiting gear boss and presents a stop for the gear boss at the end of the operating cycle. The gear boss effects movement of the pawl lever to effect unlatching and stops the orbiting gear boss when it encounters the stop. The toggle is pivoted back removing the stop in response to the ratchet rotating to the latched position.
